Taiyuan normal College was founded in 1952, formerly known as Pingxingguan Normal School. In the early days of the founding of New China, the party and the state established a teachers' college to train primary and secondary school teachers. From 65438 to 0999, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed as its current name. At present, it has become one of the single undergraduate normal colleges in Shanxi Province.
