In Pingyang County, Zhejiang Province in the Ming Dynasty, because the jurisdiction was too large, it was difficult for county officials to manage. Several inspection departments were set up in the county to help county officials deal with civil affairs and public security. Cangnan County (formerly Pingyang County, fenced in 198 1) has a patrol inspection department near Bart Mountain in Lingxi. There is another interesting legend about this inspection department.
On one occasion, the inspection department led a group of people to visit Du Pu and other places, and the team was vast and loud. Zhang Shichang, the champion of famine relief, saw it and quickly reported to the champion's wife that there were high officials coming outside, which was very imposing.
The champion's wife was very jealous when she learned about it, so she said to the champion's ear that night, "What champion are you?" It is not as good as someone else's inspection department! "
Without thinking, the champion snorted and said, "What's the inspector's office? One of my boots can make him kneel in three steps. Do not believe you try. "
After a while, I heard that the inspection department came to inspect Pupu again, and the champion lady carried the champion sedan chair to the place where the inspection department passed by, with a champion boot in it. The inspection department passed by and saw a champion sedan chair in the middle of the road. The inspection department quickly dismounted, knelt down in three steps, knelt down to the champion sedan chair and exclaimed loudly: "The champion ascended the throne and was worshipped by the villain!" "Called three times in a row, but no one answered.
The inspection department stepped forward, opened the curtain of the car and found that there was only one trunk inside, and there was nothing else. The inspection department was angry and annoyed, thinking, you are the top scholar, deceiving others too much.
The inspection department secretly made up its mind to cure this deceitful champion.
After half a year, the inspection department secretly ordered people to collect a large number of weapons, such as swords, guns and halberds, and sent people to the hillside near the Champion House to secretly bury these weapons in the river. No one in the champion's house knows about it. After doing this, the Ministry of Supervision found someone to report to the court overnight that Pingyang people in Wenzhou had made a large number of weapons and hid them in the river near the home of the champion.
The emperor heard of the rebellion and sent people to the scene to verify it. Sure enough, a large number of weapons were seized in the river near Zhuangyuan House. The emperor was furious and made an imperial edict to put Pingyang, the champion of hunger relief, to death on the spot.
Wenzhou Taifu knew this and felt that something was wrong. He thought that the champion who helped the hungry was famous for helping the poor, and he was named the champion by the court. How could he resist? Taifu went to Kyoto to report to the Emperor and asked for another investigation. The emperor felt that the idea of Wenzhou Taifu was reasonable, so he made a decree to slow down the beheading and sent another team to Pingyang as soon as possible. When the second team arrived only five miles from the beheading scene, they heard the sound of artillery fire, and the champion had fallen to the ground.
After the incident was found out, the emperor felt that he had wronged the champion, so he ordered a rebury to alleviate the hunger of the champion and gave him the first gold. In order to prevent someone from robbing coffins, the emperor also gave the champion 36 coffins, and outsiders simply didn't know which coffin the golden head was in.
In order to commemorate the sacrificial champion, future generations set up a brand named Wuli Brand five miles away from where the officers and men heard the guns.
