Fu Baoshi (1904101October 5-1September 29, 965), formerly known as Changsheng and Rui Lin, was born in Nanchang, Jiangxi, and his ancestral home was Xinyu, Jiangxi. He is a modern painter and a representative painter of "New Landscape Painting". He studied in Japan in his early years and taught at Central University after returning to China. 1949, Professor of Nanjing Normal University, Dean of Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Painting Institute.
We can't confirm their direct imitation and reproduction of Japanese historical paintings by investigating the character story paintings created by Fu Baoshi when he was studying in Japan and the works of Japanese painters after returning to China.

1In June, 959, Fu Baoshi visited Changsha and Shaoshan in Hunan at the invitation of Hunan People's Publishing House, and created a number of important works such as Shaoshan Handscroll, Shaoshan Green Scenery, Ci Yue Night Bell, Shibi Langquan and more than 20 paintings of Shaoshan and Chairman Mao's former residence.
At the beginning of July, he suddenly received a telegram from Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting, asking him to return as soon as possible, to the effect that: Comrade Bao Shi, the central government called, please come to Beijing as soon as possible. So he interrupted his sketch creation and hurried home. When he returned home, he realized that Premier Zhou and Vice Premier Chen Yi had jointly ordered him to paint for the Great Hall of the People.
So he hurried to Beijing and stayed at the Oriental Hotel in front of Beijing. His task is to cooperate with Lingnan painter Guan Shanyue to paint for the Great Hall of the People.
1959 is the 10th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC). Ten buildings have been completed in the capital, the most magnificent of which is the Great Hall of the People.
