Second, adhere to the direction of socialist market economy reform and make its system and mechanism more and more sound and perfect.

Since the reform and opening up, our party has adhered to the ideological line of seeking truth from facts and creatively developed Marxism. Comrade Deng Xiaoping pointed out in his talk in the south that if socialism wants to win the advantages compared with capitalism, it must boldly absorb and learn from all the achievements of civilization created by human society, including all the advanced management modes and methods in developed capitalist countries that reflect the laws of modern socialized production. Socialism can also engage in a market economy.

Third, adhere to the development of economic and social sciences and constantly handle various relationships such as reform, development and stability.

Since the reform and opening up, China's economy and society have developed rapidly. At the same time, problems such as imbalance, uncoordinated and unsustainable development have also emerged. Comrade Deng Xiaoping pointed out that there are no fewer problems after development than when it is not developed. During the period of 1995, Comrade Jiang Zemin discussed how to correctly handle the overall situation of reform, development and stability, as well as the twelve relationships between speed and efficiency, economic construction and population, resources and environment, and eastern and central and western regions.

Fourth, under the grim situation of changing international situation, we should adhere to an independent foreign policy and China's own world road.

For the country to develop and the people to be rich, there must be a peaceful external environment in addition to internal factors. Since the reform and opening-up, China has adhered to an independent foreign policy of peace, taking striving for a long-term peaceful environment for reform, opening-up and modernization as its primary task. In the mid-1980s, Comrade Deng Xiaoping proposed that peace and development are two major themes in the contemporary world, and China implemented the policy of reform and opening up, striving to develop in 50 to 70 years.
