Brief introduction of Baishi
Bairen Rock, also known as "Bairen Rock", is located in the northwest of Daixian Ancient City, a famous historical and cultural city in Shanxi Province, with the west entrance of Yanmenguan in the east and Hengshan Mountain in the north, with an altitude of 2228 meters. It was named after the immortal Cooper who sat down and became a mountain peak, and the boulder on the mountain peak was a skull, floating independently. This temple was built about 354-365 AD. Baiyan is divided into two temples. The upper temple is surrounded by mountains and is the main scenic spot of Baiyan. Si Xia is located at the entrance of the foot of the mountain, commonly known as the small temple. It was founded by Hui Yuan, the ancestor of Pure Land. Therefore, Baiziyan Temple, also known as the ancestral home of Pure Land Sect, opened the source of Pure Land Sect in China. It is the first act of Hui Yuan's theory of self-cultivation in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and occupies an important position in the history of Buddhist culture in China.
