History of Shizhu Town
Shizhu Town is located in the southeast of Yongkang City. Shizhu Village under the jurisdiction of the town government is nine kilometers away from the urban area. This town was a part of Hede Township and Wuping Township in Qing Dynasty. At the beginning of liberation, it was divided into four towns: Shizhu, Jiang Yao, xia yang and Yuxi. After the commune in l958, it became Shizhu People's Commune Shizhu and Yuxi Head Administrative Region. L96 1, commune scale adjustment, classified as Shizhu Commune and Yuxi Head Commune in Shizhu District. In l984, it was changed to Shizhu and Yuxi Township; 1985, Shizhu Township was changed to Shizhu Town: in l992, it was "withdrawn, expanded and merged", and Yuxi Tou Township was merged into Shizhu Town. Shizhu Town is the second central town in Yongkang with convenient transportation and developed water conservancy. The town covers an area of 54 square kilometers and has a population of more than 24,000. It is divided into 38 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee. There are 47,952 mu of forest and 0/5,090 mu of cultivated land, mainly planting crops such as rice, wheat, rape, potato and citrus. Township enterprises and private economy have sprung up suddenly, mainly including motor factory, oxygen plant, prefabrication yard, engineering team, arts and crafts, etc. Especially the enamel industry has developed rapidly in recent years. In July, 200 1 year, the whole city was reorganized and merged with Zhoushan, Cang Qian and Xindian to form Shizhu Town. 1982, the town cleaned up the archival materials, which were small in quantity and irregularly arranged. 1984, the archives was established. 1986 cleaned up 243 volumes of accounting files, among which the accounting data before 1966 have been identified and destroyed according to the requirements of superiors. 1987, documents and archives were rearranged, with a total volume of 128. 1On July 23rd, 989, the town government was hit by a once-in-a-century flood. The accounting files stored in the archives downstairs were flooded because they could not be rescued. After timely treatment, the damage was alleviated. After the disaster, the town leaders adjusted the meeting room and set up a file warehouse on the second floor to centrally manage all the files in the town. The 888 files of the whole clan (452 permanent files, 426 long-term files and short-term files 10) are managed by four directory numbers. The first catalog number is 1959 to 1982, the second catalog number is 1983 to 1990, and the third catalog number is 199 1 to1990.
