History of the Stone Buddha Temple
Speaking of China, after the reform and opening-up, the weather has changed, Buddhism has gradually recovered, and the sleeping Buddha statue has come to light again. One night, the old man in Xinlian Village of Xincheng dreamed of the Buddha and said, Let him out quickly and ask where the Buddha is. The Buddha said it was in the mountains and pointed out the specific location. The next day, the old man dug in the mountain to get the Buddha statue. After a series of inspirations, the Buddha statue was clearly instructed to be placed in a cave halfway up the mountain in the Stone Buddha Temple. That is, the China Buddha statue in Shibuda Cave today. Because the stone Buddha had a broken head when it was unearthed, the Lama who was in charge of it later re-carved the Buddha head according to the Buddha style of Tibetan Buddhism, so what we are seeing now is a Tibetan Buddha statue.
