Norway is one of the five Nordic countries and belongs to European countries. The Kingdom of Norway (Norwegian: KongeriketNorge or KongeriketNoreg), referred to as "Norway" (Norwegian: Norge or Noreg), means "the road to the north".
Located in the west of Scandinavia. The territory of Norway is long and narrow from north to south, with long and winding coastline and numerous coastal islands. Known as the "country of ten thousand islands", it borders Sweden, Finland and Russia, and its territories also include Svalbard and Jan Mayen. The capital is Oslo.

Norway's recorded history began in the 8th century. The original meaning of Norway is "the road to Norway", and the language used in Norway belongs to the Nordic branch of Germanic language family.
The 8th century to 1 1 century was the heyday of Norwegian navigation history, and it was called "Viking period" because of the rampant pirates in that period.
At the end of the 9th century, King Wang Fa harald, known as "the handsome man with long hair", began to unify Norway and became the first king to unify Norway.
