The development of history

The current open line to the DPRK was rebuilt on the basis of the Tiantu Railway built by the Japanese during the Japanese puppet regime.

Tiantu Light Rail starts from Tianbaoshan Mine, passes through Laotougou, Chaoyangchuan and Longjing Village, and reaches Difang Station on Tumen River (later renamed Tumen Riverside Station and Kaishantun Station). The total length from Kaishan Tunxiu to Laotougou 10 1km, plus Juzi Street (Yanji) branch line 10km, * * * is1/km. At that time, it was mainly used for the external transportation of silver and copper mines in the region.

Tiantu Light Rail was completed and opened to traffic in June 1924, June 1938 and June 1933, and was purchased and rebuilt by the puppet Manchukuo government. The original narrow gauge railway was changed to the standard gauge 1435mm, which was completed and opened to traffic in March 1934. 1940 The branch line from Longjing to Qingdao Coal Mine, with a length of 5 1 km, has been demolished.

condition

Now because of geographical problems, we can only do freight diversion lines, and almost no vehicles pass by every day. At present, only the Longjing-Chaoyangchuan section has passenger trains (K7537/8 Yanji/Tumen-Baihe).
