1, the first argument is that Hu spicy soup originated in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. According to folklore, the then emperor Ming Shizong was addicted to Taoism, ignored state affairs and pursued immortality. In order to win the favor of the emperor, Yan Song, an old minister of Chen Quange, got a pair of seasoning medicine from a Taoist priest and prepared it for Ming Shizong. This medicine boiled into soup, which was delicious. The emperor was very happy to drink it and named it "Yutang". Later, after the demise of the Ming Dynasty, the royal chef fled to Xiaoyao Town (now Xiaoyao Town, Xihua County, Zhoukou City) with the prescription of "Imperial Soup", which was owed by the local Hu family and passed on to Hu. Therefore, the soup is fragrant and spicy, and it is managed by Hu. Later, it was slowly called "Xiaoyao Town Hu Spicy Soup" by local people.
2. There is also a saying that Hu La Tang originated in Song Huizong in the late Northern Song Dynasty. Legend has it that Song Huizong, the emperor at that time, loved elegance and indulged himself in eating, drinking and having fun. Although Song Huizong didn't pursue immortality as Ming Shizong did, he also made the ruling and opposition parties full of extravagance. At that time, there was a little eunuch in the palace who was deeply loved by Song Huizong. Once, the little eunuch was allowed by Song Huizong to leave the palace to visit his mother, and came to Shaolin Temple in Songshan. The abbot of the temple was very enthusiastic about the red man in front of the emperor. Seeing the little eunuch flushed, thirsty and unable to eat, he offered a bowl of Shaolin Temple's unique "hangover soup". The little eunuch was very happy after drinking it, so he drank it for several days and asked the abbot for it when he left. Later, the little eunuch went to Wudang Mountain. When the head of Wudang Mountain saw that the little eunuch ate too much, went to the toilet frequently and lost weight, he prepared "small stone tea" for the little eunuch in Wudang Mountain. After drinking for a few days, the little eunuch returned to normal, and even his face was ruddy and white. The little eunuch was very grateful to "Xiaoshi Tea" and invited the party. After returning to the palace, the little eunuch handed these two recipes to the chef and made a bowl of soup with good color and fragrance, which was more mellow and could sober up, stimulate appetite and strengthen the spleen. This bowl of soup is dedicated to the emperor. When the emperor asked what the soup was called, the little eunuch had a brainwave and replied, "Longevity soup". The emperor was very happy and named this soup "Zhao's Longevity Soup". After The Trouble of Jingkang, the little eunuch lived among the people and opened a breakfast shop. Occasionally, a guest sprinkled pepper into the pot with him, but the taste became more and more rich, and later it was named "Hu Spicy Soup".
