What is the origin of Xinxiang?
Xinxiang has many historical sites and rich cultural relics resources. Xinxiang has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of ancient civilization in China.

In ancient times, it was called Yong State, which belonged to Wei in the Spring and Autumn Period, Wei in the Warring States Period and Jia in the Han Dynasty.

Xinxiang County was established in the sixth year of Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty (AD 586), which has been 1400 years.

At the beginning of the founding of New China, it was once the capital of Pingyuan Province. Ancient history gave birth to splendid civilization. Yangshao culture and Longshan culture sites are vaguely debatable; Zhou Wuwang led the Konoha War of the League of Eight Hundred Governors, and the historical sites were interdependent; Fishing in Weihe River, loyal admonition to finish Jiangxi, encircling Wei to save Zhao, stabbing Qin, the battle of Guandu and the mutiny in Chen Qiao all originated from this hot land. Confucius' lecture "Xingtan" is still there, and Li Bai sang songs in front of loyal ministers; Zhang Cang dreamed of "Nine Chapters of Arithmetic" and Chen Yucheng was martyred in heaven. Ming Shenzong's younger brother, Lu Jian's mausoleum, has a long history ... Ceng Bangzhe expounded the theory of structure (the theoretical basis of systematic biology and synthetic biology in the 20th century) at the 6th National Conference on Philosophy of Science (Xinxiang). Brilliant culture and beautiful environment have left Xinxiang with rich tourism resources.

During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, Feng Yuxiang, a famous patriotic general, was stationed in Xinxiang, and his army stronghold was Huixian. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, his office was changed to Xinxiang (now the south gate of Xinxiang Old Park) library. It is said that there used to be two ancient cannons in front of the door, but now they have been lost. Xinxiang Airport was originally a cemetery set up by General Feng Yuxiang for martyrs, and was built by the Japanese army after the defeat. In addition, the Japanese also built power plants (now near Xinxiang Children's Park) and so on. It has a strong historical significance, but now this period of history is little known.
