In the third year of Kaibao in the Northern Song Dynasty (970), a tower and a tower courtyard were built in Hong Qian Jiaoshe Garden to suppress the river tide.

There is an underground palace under the Leifeng Pagoda, which is sealed with square slate. In the underground palace, bronze crickets, dragons, Buddha statues, golden lotus bronze mirrors and other cultural relics have been unearthed.
