The exposed bedrock area in the southern hilly plain of the study area has a high degree of exploration, and a lot of exploration work has been carried out in Zhangqiu coalfield, Zibo coalfield, Changyi coalfield, Wutu coalfield and Fangzi coalfield. More exploration work has also been carried out in the North Yellow River coalfield and Yanggu-chiping coalfield. The important exploration reports submitted mainly include: detailed survey report of No.1 well field (Zhuang Yuan) in Qihe exploration area, comprehensive detailed survey geological report of Danzhen district, comprehensive detailed survey geological report of Jixi district, comprehensive detailed survey geological report of Zhuangyuan district, comprehensive detailed survey geological report of Yellow River North coalfield, coal exploration geological report of Pandian district in Qihe county, Shandong province, and Jinjiawa well field exploration of Shandong Yellow River North coalfield. Since the 20th century, geological prospecting units have conducted general surveys in Wutou, Maozhuang and Zhangbaotun in Qihe County, Litun and Zhuang Yuan in Yucheng City. From 2009 to 20 10, exploration was carried out in Guangrao uplift, and thin Carboniferous-Permian coal seam was drilled. In the process of petroleum exploration and drilling, coal seams have been discovered in Jiyang Depression, and their coal-bearing positions, coal types and coal qualities are basically consistent with those in outcrop areas. At present, there are more than 30 coal exploration rights in the study area, with a total area of about 2548.07km2.
