Brief introduction of Caohe town
Caohe Town is located in the northernmost part of Yanzhou District, Jining City. Ningyang County in the north, Mianhe and Mengxiao Town in the west, Daan Town in the south and gucun town in the east. The town government stands at the south12km of the district government station. It has a total area of 47.4 square kilometers and 3267 hectares of cultivated land, and governs 3/kloc-0 administrative villages with a total population of 32,000. Caohe Town has a long history. It is the hometown of Luo Fu and the place where Cao Guojiu, one of the legendary Eight Immortals, cultivated immortals. Caohe Village, the resident of the town, was called Caohe Port in ancient times, which is the terminal for the distribution of goods along the Caohe River. Before the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Caohe River was navigable. According to the original meaning of the word "Cao", grain and rice are transported by water. In ancient times, it was called Caohe. Located on the east bank of the river, this village is a wharf for distributing goods, hence its name.
