In Liujiang history, there were four families: Zeng, Zhang, Yang and He. There are folk sayings of "Zeng family, Yang family, Zhang family and He family". According to the 1997 edition of Hongya County Records, Zeng Jiayuan was designed and built by Zeng Yicheng (late Qing Dynasty-1950), a descendant of Zeng Biguang (about 1795). According to the inscriptions and stone carvings of Zengjiayuan, Zengjiayuan was built in the 26th year of the Republic of China (65435).
