Among them, a group of people are even more frightened. They are all major war criminals who invaded China. Among them, Gu Shoufu, a second-class war criminal, had already lived behind the scenes. As soon as the Japanese army activated him, the Japanese emperor surrendered.
But born to die, Gu Shoufu, was taken back to China by the Allied General Command for trial.
It may be strange to mention Gu Shoufu, but this guy is directly related to the Nanjing Massacre, a real demon.
1928, Gu Shoufu joined the war of aggression against China as the chief of staff of the Japanese Third Division.
This guy showed his very ferocious side from the beginning. When giving lectures to Japanese soldiers, he said: "Plunder, robbery and forced recruitment of women are important means to maintain morale."
1937 led the army into Nanjing, and then connived at the army burning, killing and looting in the city.
According to statistics, his troops alone slaughtered more than 50,000 people in China, which was extremely cruel.
There is no doubt that Gu Shoufu was one of the masterminds of the Nanjing Massacre, and another mastermind, the King of Nine Eyes, was once Gu Shoufu's boss.
What a nest of snakes and rats.
Gu Shoufu is so cruel that even his own veterans dislike him.
After the Nanjing Massacre, he invited Japanese veterans to visit his "masterpiece", which made them unable to help swearing at him for "ruining the reputation of the imperial army".
These veterans have participated in World War I and the Sino-Japanese War. Gu Shoufu's behavior has no bottom line.
I don't think any normal army can do such an inhuman thing.
Soon, what Gu Shoufu and his army did was made public and everyone was shocked.
Under the pressure of the world at that time, the Japanese side transferred him to an idle position.
However, Gu Shoufu is only the "number one person" caught by the Japanese side. His transfer was unfortunate. The Japanese side did not succumb to world public opinion, because the commanders who attacked Nanjing, such as Fujita, were not affected at all.
Gu Shoufu has been idle for seven years, but Japan does not seem to have forgotten such a "cruel person".
A few days before Japan surrendered, 1945, 12. In August, Gu Shoufu was appointed as the commander of the 59th Japanese Army.
He has been waiting for this moment for a long time. According to his previous "qualifications", he felt that he should have been a commander long ago.
Unfortunately, under the pressure of public opinion, he has been idle for seven years, and now his opportunity has come.
However, just as he was gearing up to take office, in August of 15, the Japanese side announced its surrender.
Shortly thereafter, China set up a trial court to try these war criminals who committed heinous crimes in China.
As one of the main murderers of the Nanjing Massacre, Gu Shoufu can't escape.
According to Zhang Tao, a veteran of Gu Shoufu, this guy fled back to Japan as soon as Japan announced its surrender.
Such a demon, God will not let go, and finally caught Gu Shoufu in Nagano Prefecture, Tokyo.
1946 February, Gu Shoufu was arrested by the Allied General Command, handed over to China, and tried in China for one year.
He was first classified as a Class B war criminal by the Far East International Military Tribunal, extradited to China in 1946, and sentenced to death in March/947.
It is said that when he was extradited, he knelt down toward Japan and licked the ground several times. He knew that he would never come back.
At the trial, Gu Shoufu was so rampant that he didn't plead guilty at all.
But what he did in Nanjing is an ironclad fact. He has just read the indictment for more than two hours.
Many people who came to attend couldn't help crying. What Gu Shoufu did was simply a demon.
However, in the face of China's accusation, this demon seems to have no remorse and doesn't care about the crimes he once committed.
He also argued forcefully that it is very normal for civilians to be accidentally injured by weapons during the war.
What's more, he put all the responsibility on the China army, complaining that the army didn't evacuate the Nanjing people in time.
It is even more shameless to say that he is innocent. He is only a soldier who carries out orders. Please ask the judge not to have national feelings when trying him.
On March 1947, Gu Shoufu was sentenced to death and then detained in Shanghai Detention Center.
But at this point, Gu Shoufu is still dishonest, thinking about running away, and there are external reactions.
Several Japanese bribed the director of the detention center and gave Gu Shoufu a medicine that could fake his death.
They thought it was foolproof, but it was a pity that Skynet was long and slow, and Gu Shoufu was found to have faked his own death.
China immediately changed Gu Shoufu into a detention place, and it was not until April 1947 that China began to execute him.
On the day of execution, Nanjing was deserted. Everyone left their homes and watched the devil die in front of their eyes.
When Gu Shoufu was escorted from the detention center, many people were cursing him.
Gu Shoufu, who was still very car-scrapping in the trial court before, was really timid. He didn't even dare to walk, and his legs were weak.
At that time, the presiding judge also gave Gu Shoufu time to leave a suicide note. After writing, he also took out hair, nails and other things from his pocket.
Gu Shoufu asked the criminal supervisor to take these things to his Japanese wife.
After all this, he was escorted to Yuhuatai execution ground for execution. Gu Shoufu, kneeling on the execution ground, trembled and the executioner shot him to death.
According to Zhang Tao, a veteran who was executed at that time, the bullet shot directly from Gu Shoufu's mouth, breaking his front teeth on the spot.
The onlookers cheered, and at everyone's request, they added several shots to Gu Shoufu.
But judging from Gu Shoufu's modus operandi, these lenses are still relatively cheap for him.
Although history has passed, we cannot forget it. We should always remember this history and inspire our future generations. How terrible it would be if a nation could forget history.
