Baosteel Group Co., Ltd. (Baosteel for short) is the most competitive iron and steel enterprise in China. From 2003 to 2007, Baosteel entered the world's top 500 for five consecutive years. In 2007, Standard & Poor's Rating Company announced that the long-term credit ratings of Baosteel Group and baoshan iron & steel were "A-", and the outlook was upgraded from "stable" in the previous year to "positive", which was another breakthrough after baoshan iron & steel obtained the highest rating of "A-" in June 2006. In 2007, Baosteel entered the list of "the most respected companies in the world" selected by American Fortune magazine for the third time.
