From September of 2000/KLOC-0 to September of 200011,Dr. Lu Deping from China Youth University for Political Science conducted a questionnaire survey on China's views on Japan among 248 students from Tsinghua University, Renmin University and China Youth University for Political Science. Although his survey sample is very small, limited to Beijing, but the survey content is very extensive, involving all aspects of Japanese politics, economy and culture, and the analysis is more detailed, which initially outlines the outline of Beijing college students' view of Japan. This is a groundbreaking research, which provides us with a lot of valuable data for in-depth study of this issue. [4] Almost at the same time, I began to study the views of American college students on China. In order to understand the views of China college students on the United States, I interviewed and investigated more than 100 college students from 9 universities including Beijing, Fujian and Henan. During the interview and investigation, I followed the advice of a scholar and got to know college students' views on Japan. In addition, in the teaching process, I also collected some college students' views on Japan through classroom discussion, after-class communication, students' homework and examination papers. I want to use these first-hand materials in my hand, and the interview materials are more in-depth, intuitive, concrete and vivid, to make a more specific description and analysis of China college students' view of Japan, so that we can have a deeper understanding of China college students' view of Japan.
Judging from the first material I have, in the eyes of many China college students, Japan is a disgusting or disgusting country. [5] This negative image of Japan among college students in China is mainly caused by the history of Japanese aggression against China, and the ambiguous attitude of successive Japanese governments on historical issues after World War II has continuously strengthened this negative image of Japan. China university students, on the other hand, clearly affirmed Japan's post-war economic achievements and expressed their admiration for Japanese utility, professionalism and unity. Generally speaking, the Japanese outlook of China college students today is dominated by anti-Japanese sentiment. As a product of a special historical period, the emergence and existence of this view of Japan has certain rationality. However, from the perspective of long-term friendship between China and Japan, this view of Japan also has some problems such as one-sidedness, simplification and one-way thinking habits. Below, I discuss the above points in detail through three parts in turn.
Most college students don't like Japan.
I was deeply impressed by the interview and investigation. Most college students in China don't like Japanese. When I ask them what they think of Japan, their habitual reaction is to show disgust. Japan first showed a negative image in their minds, the image of an aggressor with a saber, [6] which made them hate Japan from the perspective of the country and the nation.
In an interview survey, a college student used this passage to express his and his classmates' overall impression of Japan: "On the whole, several of us can say that our impression of the Japanese is not very good. When I think of the Japanese, there is a person holding the image of a saber, and there is a feeling that the devil enters the village, which is particularly uncomfortable. " [7] When it comes to Japan, there will be college students who feel this way, which is not an individual phenomenon among college students. When I was investigating in another university, when I told the interviewee that I wanted to know what he and other students thought of Japan, he answered my question like this. He said, "You can do this. You can look up topics related to Japan on the Internet. There are 9,999 people out of 10,000 who are scolding Japan, which is simply scolding the street. Like our generation, especially northerners, everyone has relatives at home and has been hurt by the Japanese for generations. ... is incomprehensible to the Japanese nation and really hates it. I can't help it If the United States is good, it also attracts me. I might have to check it out. ... no matter how good Japan is, like heaven, we can't accept it. " [
