Extended data

Origin of the name of Deshengmen: the stars in the north belong to Xuanwu. Xuanwu is the main swordsman, so he sends his troops to fight and usually goes out of the city from the north gate. The reason why it was named Deshengmen means "winning by virtue" and "winning by virtue". In case of war, sending troops from Deshengmen and moving troops from Andingmen respectively means "capture the flag" and "peace and stability".

It is an important gateway for the capital to Saibei, and is known as the "military gate". During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Deshengmen resisted the military invasion from the north and was the most important city defense position in Beijing. The famous Beijing Defence War happened here.
