This paper introduces the development of class teaching system, from Ukrainian Brotherhood School to Comenius' big teaching theory, the development of Herbart and the concept of class type and structure in Kailov, which eventually became the main form of western schools and was widely implemented in China.

1632, Comenius published The Great Teaching Theory. This book expounds the class teaching system in theory for the first time, which lays a theoretical foundation for the class teaching system and is basically shaped by Herbart's development.
