The Historical Evolution of Xincuo Town
Xincuo town and Xincuo area have been subordinate to Putian county since they were established, and Fuqing county has been subordinate to the Millennium, and tens of thousands of Putian people have lived there since ancient times. In the Song Dynasty, Putian County was allocated to Fuqing. Putian County has always been bounded by Xincuo Town and Garlic Ridge in the north of Fuqing County. Putian dialect has been used in this area since ancient times. Now most of Xincuo still uses Putian dialect, which is a part of Putian dialect area. Located at the northeast end of Putian, it was originally the northeast gate of Putian. Putian dialect is not only used in this area, but also in some villages in Zhenbei and Zhendong. These people are actually Putian people, not Fuqing people. In the same situation, Yidu Town of Yongtai County has been under its jurisdiction since ancient times. Because of the industrial and agricultural development of Fuqing, it was allocated to Fuqing in 1958. Yidu Town is actually from Yongtai, and Xincuo Town and Yidu Town can only be Fuqing in name at most. For example, some Putian dialect areas around the town: some villages in Yuxi Town, Shuitou Village, Jianxin Village and Sutian Village, Matouqi Natural Village in Zhongqian Village, Shitangding Natural Village in Liucuo Village, Nansheng Village and Xincuo Village in Shuangdun Village; East Jang Jin Cuihou Village, Xialing Village, Jinzhi Village, Shuangxi Village, Luling Village, Yushan Village and Yulin Village; Luohan Natural Village and Bird Hatoyama Mountain; Duntou, Dongfeng, Liyang, Yupu, Shi Xia, Fushan, Changzheng Village, Jingyang Village, North Zhang Cun and former Zhang Cun in Jingyang Town; Lingkou Natural Village, Yunzhong Village, Yinxi Street; Wheat Village in Jiangyin Town and Lower Shi Cun. Su Tianli and Kariri in Putian County were divided into Fuqing County in the Ming Dynasty. Putian county was established in 568, and Fuqing county was established more than 30 years later/kloc-0. Putian county was not established after it was drawn from Fuqing county. On the contrary, some places in the west and south of Fuqing County were drawn from Putian County. Therefore, it is nominally located in the southwest of Fuqing City, separated from Jiangkou Town of Putian City by only one bridge, connected by mountains and rivers, and facing Xinghua Bay in the east; Guangxian Township was established in 19 10, Xincuo Commune in 196 1, and the town in 1992. The northwest is adjacent to Yuxi Town; East across the west port and Jiangyin Town. It covers an area of 73.65 square kilometers and has a population of 26,200 (end of 2004).
