Hunan Institute of Science and Technology is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by Hunan Provincial People's Government and put on record by China Ministry of Education.
The college was formerly known as Hunan Coal Cadre Secondary Professional School, which was founded in 1978. 1990 merged with the former Lianshao and Zixing Mining Bureau Staff University to form Hunan Coal Staff University. 1994 was renamed Hunan University of Industrial Workers. In June 2003, I applied for higher vocational colleges. In April 2004, the Provincial Department of Education reported to the provincial government for approval to build a higher vocational college. In March 2005, it was approved by the provincial government.
20 18 September official website shows that the college covers an area of 195357.96 square meters, including 80050 square meters for teaching, auxiliary and administrative offices, with an average student size of 18. 18 square meters. There are 3 teaching departments, 19 majors, and 500 full-time and part-time teachers and students.

1987, Hunan coal cadre secondary specialized school was established.
1990, Hunan Coal Workers College was formed by the merger of Lianshao Mining Bureau Staff College and Zixing Mining Bureau Staff College.
On August 30th, 1994 was renamed Hunan University of Technology Workers with the approval of the provincial government.
In June 2003, I applied for higher vocational education.
In April 2004, the Provincial Department of Education reported to the provincial government and agreed to build a higher vocational college.
In March 2005, Hunan Institute of Technology was formally established with the approval of the provincial government.
20 15 is under the responsibility of Hunan provincial development and reform commission.
On September 30th, 20021year, it passed the acceptance of the third batch of modern apprenticeships organized by the Vocational and Adult Education Department of the Ministry of Education.
On June 29th, 2022, Hunan Vocational College of Science and Technology was formally established and placed under the management of the Provincial Department of Education.
