In terms of quantity, Ma Ning temples are second only to gelug sect monasteries and surpass other sects in the whole Tibetan area of China, ranking second among many sects of Tibetan Buddhism. As the oldest sect of Tibetan Buddhism, Ma Ning has a long history in Tibetan areas.
The six major temples of Maning are Dorje Zag Temple and Democratic Forest Temple in Tibet, Xieqing Temple, Zhu Qing Temple, Gato Temple and White Temple in Sichuan. The main legal traditions of Ma Ning School are: fantasy classics, collection classics, faithfulness and inheritance of the three principles. The teaching ceremony of Ma Ning School not only inherited the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism in the pre-monascus period, but also reconstructed it in the post-monascus period. Therefore, it has a long history and rich connotation, and can be divided into nine Taoism and great perfection method in terms of doctrine.
