China's humiliating history of nearly a hundred years, from 1840 Opium War to 1949, ended with a total time of 109. Over the past 100 years, many capitalist and imperialist countries all over the world have committed heinous aggression against China, and all of them have hit us. Portugal first extended its claws to China, followed by Spain, the Netherlands, Britain, France, the United States, Russia and Japan. In the wars of aggression and anti-aggression, except that War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression was surrendered by Japanese imperialism due to the heroic resistance of the China people and various reasons at home and abroad, every war ended with China's failure and being forced to sign a treaty that humiliated the country. During this historical period, the imperialist powers forced China to sign more than 1,000 unequal treaties with them, starting with the first unequal treaty "treaty of nanking". With these treaties, imperialist nationalists seized China's land, extorted huge reparations, seized large concessions, forcibly opened trading ports, plundered countless wealth, killed countless lives and sold a large number of drugs. They gradually controlled China's economic life, manipulated China's politics, military affairs and culture, seriously damaged China's self-sufficient feudal economic foundation, left China in a semi-independent and disunited state politically, and China gradually changed from a feudal society to a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society.
