In 2005, the Hanzhong municipal government began the integration of tea brands, integrating the initial 20 brands into three brands: Wuzi Xianhao, Dingjun Mingmei and Ningqiang Quetongue. From June 5438 to February 2007, Hanzhong municipal government took the opportunity to apply for the protection of geographical indication products, and finally integrated the tea brand into a brand named "Hanzhong Xianhao". Hanzhong Municipal Government organized a delegation to participate in the first Xi 'an Tea Expo and the fifth China International Tea Expo, and "Hanzhong Xianhao" won many gold medals. Since 2008, Hanzhong Tea Industry Association has recognized the qualification of "Hanzhong Xianhao" as a designated production and marketing enterprise, and adopted the methods of "voluntary enterprise declaration, expert evaluation and certification listing", increased standardized production technology training, unified the signs of designated enterprises and stores, strengthened market supervision and standardized business order. Up to now, the city has identified 247 "Hanzhong Xianhao" designated production enterprises and "Hanzhong Xianhao" designated management enterprises 195.
Zheng, deputy mayor of Hanzhong Municipal Government, said in an interview with the Evening News reporter: "Hanzhong has vigorously promoted brand integration with the protection of geographical indications products, and Hanzhong tea is uniformly called' Hanzhong Xianhao'. Many, miscellaneous and chaotic brand problems that have plagued the development of Hanzhong tea industry for many years have been gradually solved, laying a good foundation for further expanding and strengthening Hanzhong tea industry.
