On June 5438+065438+1October 12, 2005, the famous historical and cultural towns and villages in China jointly selected by the Ministry of Construction and National Cultural Heritage Administration were announced, and two towns and one village in Hubei Province were selected, namely Qiliping Town, Hong 'an County, Zhoulaozui Town, Jianli County and Dayu Jiawan Village, Mulan Township, Huangpi County.

& lt& gt Qiliping Town is the birthplace of the Jute Uprising and the Red Fourth Front Army, with 143 generals, 23 national key cultural relics and a well-preserved ancient street in Ming and Qing Dynasties-Changsheng Street.

& lt& gt Qiliping Town has been a market town since the Yuan Dynasty. It has always been an important source of agricultural and sideline products in Wuhan. It is the largest town in Hong 'an. It was called "Little Hankou" in Ming and Qing Dynasties. There is a saying called "Qiliping, it can't be delayed, and it can't be filled in Li Jiaji (Xinzhou)". Now it is a famous hometown of peanut purchase and sale in China.
