"Under the Dam", "Wuxia", "Xiangyang" and "Luoyang" are poems written by Du Fu in the Tang Dynasty that the imperial army recovered the banks of the Yellow River. This poem was written in the spring of the first year of Guangde (AD 763). Du Fu was 52 years old. In the winter of the first year of Baoying (AD 762), Tang Jun won a great victory in Hengshui near Luoyang, and recovered Luoyang, Zheng (now Zhengzhou, Henan) and Bian (now Kaifeng, Henan).
