2. When creating the first feature film "Reconstruction", An Zhe's speculative consciousness became clearer. He began to face "another Greece" and turned his eyes to the desolate land where social reality was concentrated. In this extraordinary anti-genre masterpiece, the director pays attention to the declining rural situation and reflects the social ills of Greece by "reconstructing" the criminal process of a murder case. Many motifs sprouted in this film were continued and sublimated in An Zhe's later life.
3. An Zhe started the creation process of the trilogy of modern Greek history with 1936, which is also his first color feature film. This masterpiece, which refers to the past and alludes to the autocracy of the Greek authorities, won the Fabisi Award at the Berlin Film Festival. The breathtaking scene scheduling, such as the 720-degree super panoramic lens, also shows An Zhe's great ambition to create a landmark film aesthetics.
4. The Wandering Artist is Anzhe's top masterpiece, which made him famous in the world, established his status as a master, and won many awards such as the Fabisi Award at Cannes Film Festival. The film depicts the turbulent history of Greece with the arduous course of a troupe of 1939- 1952, which also marks the maturity of An Zhe's film aesthetics. Only 80 shots were used to complete the epic narrative for nearly 4 hours.
5. The Hunter is the third part of the trilogy of modern Greek history and an important work in Anzhe's early days. This film leads the audience to witness the ghost of history slowly appearing in the center of the stage in the fantastic and exquisite transformation of time and space.
6. Alexander the Great is a watershed in Anzhe's creation. He used this epic, which won the jury prize and the Fabbrizi Prize in Venice Film Festival, to transcend the political and historical issues he had been concerned about since the trilogy of modern Greek history, and to think deeply about power and system itself. This film is also an image masterpiece praised by Kurosawa-"This film makes me deeply feel the happiness brought by the camera, which is the most thorough meaning of film art".
