Ruan ranks among the top three in the world, with a population of nearly 100 million. The first two are Li and Zhang in China, so how did the Vietnamese Nguyen surname come from? Many people say that Nguyen Tan Dung is the descendant of Ruan Xiaoer, Ruan Xiaowu and Ruan Xiaoqi, the heroes of Liangshan in Water Margin. Their descendants fled to Vietnam, where they lived and multiplied, so that Ruan was handed down in Vietnam. Actually, it's not. Among Liangshan heroes, the runners-up are Long Jiang, Li Jun and Tong Wei.
Ruan Xiaoer stills
When Ruan Xiaoer conquered Fang La, he committed suicide in Wulongling Waterway.
When Ruan Xiaowu conquered Fang La, he was discovered and killed by Lou Min, Prime Minister of Qingxi County.
Ruan Xiaoqi made a living by fishing with his mother in Shi Jiecun, Shuihu, and died at the age of 60.
Ruan Xiaoer has two sons in Yuefei Pinghua (played by Cao Hanchang), namely Ruangui and Ruanliang, and Ruan has a daughter Ruan, which has nothing to do with Yue. Besides, these are all characters in the Water Margin. The Nguyen family in Vietnam has a long history and has nothing to do with the three Nguyen brothers.
Ruan is one of the surnames of China. During the Jin Dynasty, Ruan began to move south. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, people surnamed Ruan continued to flow into Vietnam. Many Vietnamese surnames were also imported from China, such as Fan, Chen, Wu, Zheng and Li. Even the founding emperors of several dynasties in Vietnam were Han Chinese or descendants of Han Chinese.
For example, the ancestors of Wu Quan in Wu Dynasty were from Hebei;
Ding Chao was led by Ding Bu, whose ancestors were Cantonese.
Li Gongyun of the Li Dynasty was born in Fujian;
Therefore, it is actually impossible to verify where the Vietnamese Nguyen surname came from, but the most convincing one is the descendants of Ruanfu in the Jin Dynasty, and it is also said that it was Ruanzhuo in the Chen Dynasty.
So why are there so many Nguyen surnames in Vietnam? Historical records of Vietnam: In Chen's generation, the Li family there was surnamed Li, which made Ruan even worse. ? This is related to the change of dynasties in Vietnam. In A.D. 1232, the Li Dynasty in Vietnam perished. After the establishment of the Chen Dynasty, the king was called Chen Shoudu. In order not to let Vietnamese people miss Li Chao, he changed all Li surnames to Ruan surnames.
In A.D. 1400, Hu overthrew the Chen Dynasty, and all Vietnamese surnamed Hu were renamed Ruan.
In a.d. 1592, Mo Ye changed her surname to Ruan.
In a.d. 1778, even Zheng's surname was changed to Ruan.
From this point of view, the reason why there are so many Nguyen surnames in Vietnam is not that all of them were introduced from China, let alone the descendants of three brothers Ruan Xiaoer, but that the Nguyen surnames in Vietnam today are created through the constant changes of other surnames. However, there are not many Ruan surnames in China, and the ranking among hundreds of surnames should be after 100.
