History of Tianhe District Museum in Guangzhou
Liujiamiao is located at No.2 Dazhou, Shahe Street, beside Guangzhou Avenue, Tianhe District. 1886 65438+ 10. In October, Liu Yongfu, the prefect who made great contributions in Vietnam's fight against French invaders, led 1400 soldiers to Guangzhou. Liu presided over the construction of Liujia Temple in Shahe, which was completed in the 26th year of Guangxu (1900). Zhongyi Temple and Jigong Monument are attached to the family temple to commemorate the achievements of the Black Flag Army.

Liujiamiao is a typical courtyard-style blue brick building in Lingnan. 1989, Guangzhou Municipal Government announced Liujiamiao as the key cultural relics protection unit in the city. The Municipal Bureau of Culture has renovated the temple twice since 1996, with a total area of about 2,000 square meters. Tianhe District has comprehensively improved the environment of Liujiamiao since 200 1, supplemented by the decoration and greening of the fence.

According to people in Tianhe District, the century-old "Liujiamiao" has a profound historical and cultural background, which is of great value to the study of China's modern history and Liu Yongfu himself. The bureau has been collecting relevant historical materials of cultural relics, taking Jiamiao as the patriotic education base in Tianhe District and establishing Tianhe District Museum. When the Tianhe District Museum opens, it is planned to hold related exhibitions with the theme of Guangzhou First Village Exhibition or Liu Yongfu Life Exhibition.
