Sun Wu's Historical Position
Sun Wu was called a soldier saint in the history of China. Anyone who has read history will know a little about Sun Wu's deeds. He wrote Sun Tzu's Art of War, which was famous during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Strangely, as a soldier saint, he is not famous, not even as famous as some ordinary princes.

Even in Sima Qian's Historical Records, there is no mention of Sun Wu's contribution, and his life is summarized in just a few hundred words, and it is mainly about Sun Wu's training.

You know, Sun Wu's favorite art of war is an enduring classic, and it even plays a very important role in the later business and military circles. It can be said that it is still very useful after thousands of years, but Sun Wu was unknown during the Warring States Period and even mysteriously disappeared after the war with Wu Chu.

In my opinion, one of the reasons why Sun Wu is not well-known is that in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, it is easier for people to judge a person's achievements by his military exploits. Sun Wu is not a military commander. Although Sun Tzu's art of war played a great role at that time, he didn't lead troops to fight, so he seems to be an insignificant general in the face of history. Therefore, there are not many records about Sima Qian in Historical Records. He is a strategist who is not good at fighting. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Sun Wu was hardly taken seriously.

In addition, Sun Wu disappeared mysteriously after the Battle of Wu Chu. Many people say that he died in battle or was captured and died. Others say that he lives in seclusion in the country. But no matter how he lives, the combination of life and death he left behind has always been a very valuable asset.
