Wu Yin, a famous expert on ancient architecture in Zhejiang Province, studied in Shanghai Nanyang Road Mining Institute, the predecessor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and studied civil architecture when he was young. After War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, he served as the deputy director of Hangzhou Engineering Bureau, engaged in the municipal construction of Hangzhou. After liberation, Wu Yin and Mu Xin, a Soviet expert, designed the master plan of Hangzhou's urban construction, which is still based on it.
