Bajianling is the highest place in Yuci. There are historical records: "Bafuling, commonly known as Bafuling. This belt is located in the southeast of Yuci City, more than 50 kilometers across the boundaries of Yuci, Taigu, Yushe and Heshun counties. The situation is steep and there is an instrument city. The main peak is located at the junction of Yuci and Heshun, with an altitude of 17 18 meters, showing a northeast-southwest trend. Earth and water come from the Peach Blossom Pagoda at the northern foot. The Paike Aoge Pagoda in Bajianling Mountain Range is 18 13.8 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Yuci (locally called Lijiang Pagoda).

"Records of Yuci County, Tongzhi County of Qing Dynasty" records: "The ancient emperor Wan Yu lived in Jizhou with Taihang Mountain, passed through Wan Yu, and became Yuzhou, which is now Yushe and other places. Yuci and Yushe were named one after another." Bajianling is connected with Yushe, and there are traces of ancestors' activities. Tuchuan under Bajianling has Jiayugou ancient human cultural site, a village called Qingcheng and a village called Chengcheng, which may be the predecessor of Yuci City.

The cultural relics on Bajianling are also famous. Li Jiang Hertha on the ridge is named after the famous Jiang Wei. Jiang Wei was a great doctor in the state of Jin in the Spring and Autumn Period, and was known as Wei Zhuangzi in history. His greatest contribution in his political career was to advocate harmony, which enabled Jin to achieve the dual effects of expanding territory and strengthening national strength. In recognition of his achievements, Duke Mourning of Jin named the land he got from Rong Yuci. In memory of this hero who brought people a peaceful and stable life, the mountain where he stopped in the process of reconciliation was named Jiangling or Ma Rulong in Long Gun Cave, which was commonly known as Jiangling Ma Rulong or Jialing.

There is a legend about the activities of Liu Heng, the emperor of the Han Dynasty, in the vast Bajianling. There are the ruins of Daiwang Temple and an ancient well, as well as the remains of garrison troops in past dynasties, such as the site of the magnificent ancient Great Wall "Yicheng Town". There is also Jiuzhaigou, where there are nine military camps established by Xerox during the period of Wuhu and Sixteen Countries. Schleswig started from here. Dujiashan, next to Bajianling, was once a famous educated youth point in China. Cai Yuqin, a young Beijinger, passed by here. They lost their way in the cold winter night, and the lights in Dujiashan Village attracted them. The director of the poor association in the village took them in and gave them a "safe meal". Cai Yuqin later changed its name to "Lijian Cai" and jumped the queue from the capital to the mountain village, becoming famous all over the country. In the end, even the ashes were scattered on this simple land. More than 20 educated youths from all over the country 120 gathered here, and they planted as many as 10,000 young trees that year. Now they are all merged into the mountains of Bajianling, and Dujiashan has also become a national forest park. Wang Gang, an educated youth from Beijing, is still there. Zhou Shanhu, an educated youth in Taiyuan, spent more than 3 million on mountain forest construction. The mountain forest there still remembers the story of that year. Like those ancestors who worked hard to defend their country, they sang the strong voice of life. Although the village has been evacuated, tourists are still moving.

There is also a village called Nanzuo next to Dujiashan. Although there are not many people left in the village, there will still be a grand ancestor worship ceremony in the village every year, and people living in the city will go back to the village to participate. Earth rivers move to Pingchuan, and many mountain people also move to Pingchuan, and many villages on the ridge are gradually uninhabited. The mountain became a national forest park. But there are also people who go to the mountains. There is also a small mountain village under Bajianling. Many villagers went to live in the city, but a famous couple in the city lived in seclusion and planted trees here. One of them is an excellent government cadre, and the other is a well-known newspaper reporter. They gave up their official careers, left their homes, fled from the hustle and bustle, fled the rivers and lakes, went to Heshi, lived in seclusion here for love, and became a modern legend of Yuci. Nowadays, this small mountain village surrounded by Qinghe, with old bricks and refractory stone kilns has become a punching place for Taiyuan, Yuci and other surrounding people to experience farming life in their leisure time.

And people who develop mountains and forests. This is a national nature reserve, which is already a forest park. Duan Quanzhou, an entrepreneur from Yuci, founded Jiuzhaigou forest restoration base here and included it in the restoration project of Taihang Mountain Forest Park. Jiuzhaigou in Taihang Mountain has continuous peaks, lush forests and blue waves and ponds, and the climate is pleasant and suitable for health preservation. Duan Quanzhou said that there are large forests, rich springs and good natural ecology. There are also some rare cats in the mountains, such as leopard, earth leopard, "black panther" (some people think it is Hei Hu), and the international "Cat Meng" organization has set up a base here. There are also rare plants, such as Li Dou, cherry plum and large areas of wild lilac trees. Wild cloves can be used to make tea. Buddhists in Wutai Mountain call it "Xihai Bodhi Tea" ... Due to the special position of Bajianling in Yuci history, most of the well-known ancient eight scenic spots in Yuci are related to Bajianling, such as Hong Tao, willow, snow, cold spring, frost-free forest corner and lotus.

The high Bajie Ridge and the clear earth river are not as steep as the ups and downs of the three mountains and five mountains, but they have their own unique mountain feelings and rich cultural heritage.
