The Historical Evolution of Sayingpan Town
Sayingpan Town belongs to Luquan Yi and Miao Autonomous County. It was named after the military camp built here in the Ming Dynasty. During Nanzhao period in Tang Dynasty, the Wuluo department of 37 Dongwu barbarians originated from Xingqiu Mountain (also known as Hodge Mountain). When Dali was in power in the Song Dynasty, the Wu Luo Department merged the two departments, namely, Hongnonglu Voucher and Zhangjiu Faku, and became the "Thirty-seven Departments" with strong political and economic strength. Wu Luo has a long history and culture.

1935 In May, the First Army of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army crossed the river in Jiaoping. In order to contain the enemy, the 37th Army of the Red Fifth Army, led by Dong Zhentang, fought fiercely with Zhou Hunyuan, the central army of the Kuomintang, at Xiaomiaoyakou for 7 days and nights to ensure the Red Army successfully crossed the Jinsha River. Historically known as the "Shiban River blockade", there are still trench remains. This memorial site has been listed as a county-level cultural relics protection unit. On May, 1949, the 25th regiment of the third detachment of the column in Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi Border Region entered Luquan to carry out guerrilla armed struggle.1October 4th, 165438+ Luquan Interim People's Government was established in Sayingpan. In 2000, 2 160 people from Yunlong reservoir moved out to support the construction of Zhangjiu River water diversion and supply project. In March 2006, Hua Shuang Township was merged into Sayingpan Town.
