Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, also known as "Big Lotus", is located in Binjiang District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, southwest of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center. Based on the lotus flower, it consists of 28 large petals and 27 small petals. The foundation stone was laid in 2009, and it was completed and put into use in 20 19. It will be the main venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

The stadium covers an area of 430 mu (286,700 square meters) with a total construction area of 229,000 square meters. There are six floors above ground and one underground floor, with 80,800 seats, with a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan and a designed service life of 100 year.

The design concept of the venue originated from the ups and downs of Qiantang River and the elegance of Hangzhou silk, and the original rigid steel skeleton was transformed into a soft shape corresponding to the site curve. Because its shape consists of 28 Da Lian petals and 27 small lotus petals, it looks like a blooming lotus, so it is affectionately called "Da Lian".

When you step into the venue, the first thing that catches your eye is the patchwork of five-color seats. In the audience, five colors, red, purple, gray, light blue and dark blue, are gradually interspersed, like a rainbow around the stadium. There is also a pattern of athletes running forward on each chair back, which makes people feel the spirit of athletes' hard work. Due to the special "Lotus Bowl" shape, the audience can get the best viewing experience during the competition.
