By the Qing Dynasty, Wende Road had become a painting and calligraphy street. There are many shops selling Four Treasures of the Study, books and antique calligraphy and painting, as well as dozens of well-known bookstores, antique shops and stationery stores. Scholars like to come here to buy stationery such as pen, ink, paper and inkstone, and collect all kinds of rare books, which is very lively.
According to documents, one of the reasons for the rise of Wende Road Calligraphy and Painting Street is the appearance of "export paintings" in Guangzhou in the18th century. From the fifty-ninth year of Kangxi (1720), artworks called "export paintings" by the current painting circles began to appear on the streets of Guangzhou, and one shop after another appeared on Wende Road on the north bank of the Pearl River in Guangzhou.
In the first half of the 20th century, the situation changed dramatically, and there were storms everywhere in China. Although Wende Road, which has been baptized by war, is still full of profound cultural atmosphere since ancient times, the continuous destruction and reconstruction of this road has also witnessed several great changes in this painting and calligraphy corridor, weaving scenes that make people sad or happy.
According to Zhou, when New China was founded in 17, Wende Road was still a street full of cultural flavor. At that time, Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles Building was located on Wende Road, and music, drama and art associations all set up offices here. Guangzhou Cultural Relics Store (now Guangzhou Cultural Relics Headquarters) was established in 1960. It is one of the earlier cultural relics stores in China, selling famous calligraphy and painting, jade articles and ceramics in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, and taking Yueyatang and Bo Gu Zhai as retail outlets.
Qin Wusan, who was born in Wende Road 1953, said that it was quiet here when he was a child. At that time, there was a painting and calligraphy mounting agency, which was very famous in Guangzhou. In that shop, he often met Rong Geng, a famous ancient philologist who taught at Sun Yat-sen University, and monk Chengzuo.
After the 1980s, the calligraphy and painting business on Wende Road began to revive, and more decorative handicrafts were sold. Today, Wende Road has become a cultural market in Guangzhou, dealing in antiques, calligraphy and painting, ceramics and painting. There are more than 200 enterprises mainly engaged in calligraphy and painting, cultural relics and decorative handicrafts. These street shops are mainly small in area, but many paintings and handicrafts are freshly baked every day, and some shops also attract customers through on-site painting and production. At the same time, a large number of paintings and handicrafts produced in other places or locally are transported from here to all parts of the country and even overseas, especially in the decorative painting market, where merchants from south to north purchase goods every day.
Wendelu calligraphy and painting Wenhua ST
Mainly engaged in calligraphy and painting, cultural relics and decorative handicrafts, combined with the development of the ruins of the National Palace in South Vietnam, to develop a cultural street with a strong historical and cultural atmosphere in South Vietnam.
Information:
Wende Road is a professional market for calligraphy, painting and art in Guangzhou, and is known as "Guangzhou Gallery". The streets are full of beautifully decorated calligraphy and paintings and handicrafts. If you like fashionable and avant-garde style, you can choose some oil paintings or abstract paintings that copy famous western artists. If you have a soft spot for China traditions, there are many China landscape paintings or jade-inlaid art paintings. In addition, there are a large number of handicrafts with different styles, such as African woodcarving and art dried flowers.
Wende Road is a famous cultural street in Guangzhou, but its commercial layout is scattered and its cultural content is low. To this end, Dongshan District Government will improve the management level of Cultural Street, focus on developing cultural commodities such as stone antiques, calligraphy and painting, ancient books and Four Treasures of the Study, and actively introduce domestic and foreign cultural products and time-honored brands. At present, Guangzhou has not yet formed a standardized and mature antique art appraisal and trading place. The district will strongly support cultural relics units and investors to set up cultural business projects such as cultural relics identification, display and trading in Cultural Street. The citizens can consult and identify at any time, and can also trade antiques and artworks.
Wende road: a century-old charm.
Wende Road was once the cultural and educational center of Guangzhou. Luxi is the famous former site of Fanshan Mountain, with towering old trees and overgrown weeds. The Emperor of the Southern Han Dynasty once built a palace on the mountain. Later, Song Jun occupied the city and burned it to the ground. In the third year of Song Shaosheng (1096), the Fu Xue of Guangzhou, also known as Guangfu Gong Xue, was built on the ruins, with a very large scale, ranging from Palace 1 to 13th. Many people in Guangzhou call it Confucius Temple, because Gong Xue has a Dacheng Hall, which enshrines memorial tablets of Confucius and 72 sages. There is a small street on the east and west sides of Gong Xue, with Fu Xue West Street in the west and Fu Xue East Street in the east. Fu Xue West Street still exists, only four meters wide. As you can imagine, Fu Xuedong Street is almost the same.
In the large-scale urban renewal movement of 19 18, Fu Xue East Street was expanded into a main road with a width of15m. Because there is a regulation in Delhi, east of Wenmingmen, when the road was expanded, it was named Wende Road after the name of Wendeli.
From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, Wende Road has always been a land of books. There are many shops in Four Treasures of the Study that install calligraphy and painting, sell antiques and books. Scholars often come to search for various rare books. Kang Youwei runs ten thousand mu thatched cottage in three places, one is Changxing Lane, the other is Kuangjia Temple in Bian Wei Street, and the other is Gongyanggao Temple in Guangfu School. During the Republic of China, Guangfa Law School, French Research Society, Sino-German Society, Lawyers Association, Datong Middle School and Peking University Alumni Association were all located in Gong Xue. Hanchi's poems, books, rituals, music and books are really an elegant forest.
The South Library of Provincial Sun Yat-sen Library is located in Juxian Square, Wende South Road, next to Qingshui Pan Hao. It is the former site of Nanyuan Poetry Society, which is famous all over the world. At the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, five poets, Sun Xu, Wang Zuo, Huang Zhe, Li De and Zhao Jie, formed Nanyuan Poetry Society here. Sun Xu, known as "Lingnan Poet", is a brilliant poet I admire very much, but his life is extremely unfortunate. First, he was dragged into prison, then released, framed and guarded by the border. Finally, he was executed by the court because he painted a picture for General Sapphire. When he was about to die, he looked up at the sky and sighed: "The drums are three urgent, and the sun is shining on the western hills." There is no inn for the dead. Who will stay tonight? "I remember the first time I read this poem, my eyes were blurred by the last cross.
After Mr.five's death, Nanyuan became the garden of the town. Later, five poets, Ou Daren, Liang Youyu, Li Minbiao, Wu Dan and Li Shixing, were called "post-Mr.five" because they respected the legacy of the Five Sons and reunited with the poetry society. People built a wind-resistant pavilion on the site of Nanshe, dedicated to Mr.five before and after Nanyuan.
According to the Records of Guangdong, Taiwan and Yalu, the South Garden is "beautiful in the pool and beautiful after the water." Nowadays, monks live in the house, and those who study and study quietly often leave the museum. "When Zhang Zhidong was in charge of Guangdong, he bought the Cidu Temple and some folk houses in Bei Hao, and built six front and back school bookstores in the southeast, northwest and southeast of the wind-resistant Xuan, with Ten Peak Xuan as the concourse. Later, it was expanded into the library building of Guangya Bookstore, which was famous for its scholars. A group of academic celebrities proofread and engrave "Guangya Series" here. The rich collection is second to none in Lingnan. 19 12 library building was transformed into provincial Zhongshan library.
1929, the municipal government built another municipal "Sun Yat-sen Memorial Library" on Wende Road designed by Guangdong architect Ke, and laid the foundation stone at the original site of Hanmochi, which was completed in 1933. This is the Zhongshan Literature Museum of Zhongshan Library today. From the outside, this is a palace-style building in China, but there are some European palace buildings in it. Although it has faded, it is still dignified and elegant.
Qingshui City has been filled as an inner street, and the South Pavilion of Middle Earth has also been razed to the ground. Before and after that, Mr.five was a place where elegies and poems were sung. Now it is a temporary parking lot. Apart from Guangzhou Cultural Relics Headquarters (Yueyatang, Bo Gu Zhai) and Zhongshan Literature Museum, Wende Road still retains a trace of elegance in the past, and most shops sell cheap decorative paintings. Every time I go to the Literature Museum, I look at the two century-old trees, standing quietly in the hubbub, as if there is a full story, but I can't say it.
