Xinzheng historical geography
It is a great event in the history of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period that the three clans entered Jin. Zhao, Wei and Han replaced the State of Jin. When Korea was founded, Pingyang was the capital. Pingyang is now Linfen City, Shanxi Province. Pingyang originally belonged to Zhao. In 5 14 BC, Korean ancestors took a fancy to Pingyang and traded Ma Shou (Shouyang, Shanxi) with Zhao for Pingyang. In 497 BC, Han officially moved to Pingyang. Why did Han choose Pingyang? First of all, before and after the three tribes were divided into Jin, Han's fief was in the southeast of Shanxi. The terrain here is very special, with Linfen as the boundary, Taiyue Mountain in the east and Luliang Mountain in the west. Fenhe River flows from north to south, through Linfen and finally into the Yellow River. Fenhe River Basin is a relatively developed agricultural area controlled by South Korea, where most of South Korea's money and grain come from. Pingyang, its capital, is very beneficial to the development of South Korea. In addition, Jin is still there, Jindu is in Xinjiang (Xinjiang County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province), and Pingyang is not far north of Xinjiang, which is convenient for South Korea to participate in the complicated power struggle of Jin. However, after the three Wei Zhaohan divided into Jin, they all found a problem: the capitals of the three countries are far away from the Central Plains, and all three countries have ambitions to forge ahead in the Central Plains. Look at Zhao's route to move the capital: Jinyang (Yuci, Shanxi), Zhongmou (Hebi, Henan, not Zhongmou under Zhengzhou) and Handan, all the way to the east. Wei moved the capital all the way to the east, including Anyi (Xiaxian, Shanxi) and Daliang (Kaifeng, Henan). South Korea is no exception. Among the three countries that divided Jin, Wei and Zhao were powerful, Zhao occupied northern Hebei and Shanxi, and Wei occupied eastern Henan and central Shanxi. It is obviously unrealistic for a weak South Korea to compete with Wei and Zhao. What South Korea can do is to March into central Henan and look for opportunities to destroy Zheng. In the early Spring and Autumn Period, Zheng was a powerful bully. At the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, Zheng's strength dropped significantly, but it was still not enough for South Korea to eat. So Han Kangzi made a long-term plan to destroy Zheng. In order to destroy Zheng, the first step is to move the capital to the east. In this context, South Korea designated Yiyang as the new capital, which is now Hancheng Town, west of Yiyang County, Henan Province. Yiyang is just between Pingyang and Xinzheng, the capital of Zheng, which shows that the strategy of moving the capital of South Korea is very clear, and it is directed at Zheng. In 423 BC, Han Wuzi attacked Zheng on a large scale and killed Zheng Yougong Ji. Only at that time, Zheng's strength was still relatively strong, and South Korea could not swallow it for a while. This is a bit like the end of the Ming Dynasty, when Huang Taiji took the initiative to crusade against the Ming Dynasty, but in terms of overall strength, the Ming Dynasty was still strong. The strategy of Houjin can only be nibbling away step by step. The process of South Korea's annexation of Zheng is long and arduous, like ants gnawing at bones, and there is no tenacity that cannot be achieved. With South Korea's continuous victory over Zheng, Yiyang is no longer suitable to be the capital of South Korea, and it needs to look for a new capital to the east. Yangzhai ("Zhai" is pronounced as "Zhai" or "Di") is located in the southwest of Zhengdu City, swimming in the water, that is, Yuzhou City, which is now managed by Pingdingshan City, Henan Province. Yangzhai, the capital of South Korea, means that South Korea has gained a greater strategic advantage than Zheng. Some scholars believe that Yiyang and Yangzhai, the new capitals of South Korea, are more like the operational headquarters of the former enemy and have stronger military attributes. In the eyes of Koreans, they should only have two national capitals: Pingyang, where the ancestral temple is located, and Xinzheng, which makes the best of the Central Plains. Yiyang and Yangzhai are both transitional capitals, which can be seen from the length of the capitals. In 424 BC, Korea moved its capital from Pingyang to Yiyang (16). In 408 BC, South Korea moved its capital from Yiyang to Yangzhai (23 years). In 375 BC, South Korea destroyed Zheng and moved its capital to Xinzheng. Until 230 BC, Korea was destroyed by the State of Qin (145). Why South Korea must move its capital to Xinzheng is related to the territory of South Korea. Among Wei, Zhao and Han, South Korea has the smallest territory and lacks plain areas. With the Yellow River as the boundary, South Korea's territory is roughly divided into two parts: north and south. There are mountains and waters to the north of the Yellow River, and the activity space is limited. South of the Yellow River, there are the same mountains and rivers, including Xiong 'er Mountain, Funiu Mountain, Waifangshan Mountain and Songshan Mountain. Xinzheng is located on the plain at the eastern foot of Songshan Mountain. Not far from Xinzheng in the east, it is the boundary of Wei. In order to keep the small territory of South Korea, "the son of heaven protects the country" is a choice that has to be made. With its capital in Xinzheng and heavily stationed, Wei Bing can be prevented from moving westward. At the same time, once the state of Wei changes, South Korea can also send troops from Xinzheng to attack the city. Yiyang's capital is in good condition. The discovered Handu of Yiyang covers an area of 3 square kilometers. But Yiyang is far from the Central Plains and close to the State of Qin. As far as the threat to South Korea is concerned, Qin is greater than Wei. Wei can use South Korea as a strategic barrier against Qin's eastward advance, but Qin obviously doesn't need to do so. To unify the state of Qin, we must first take Korea. To take Korea, take Yiyang first. Xinzheng, the capital of South Korea, also means to warm up with Wei Bao Tuan. In short, under the situation that Qin has become the strongest among the seven countries, the capital of South Korea should be as far away from the border of Qin as possible. Facts have also proved this point. In 307 BC, Qin Jun killed 60,000 Han soldiers and captured Yiyang. If the capital of South Korea was still in Yiyang at that time, the Korean giants would have gone to get the box lunch.
