In recent years, with the construction and opening of Botanical Garden Road, this ancient village is once again full of vitality. At present, the village is planning to build an "ancient town street" to revive the prosperity of the commercial ancient town of Yu Di Village.
■ Origin: "Mud dike" village built on mud.
Yu Di Village has a history of at least 1000 years. The plaque on the archway at the entrance of the village, "Ancient Town at the Bottom", also proves the extraordinary past of the old village.
"The sediment washed down by the ancient Taiping River in the rainy season has been deposited here for a long time, forming a delta. After the end of the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, people built their homes on this silted earth embankment and named it' silt embankment'. " In Yu Di Village, after half a year's efforts, several enthusiastic villagers collected information extensively and visited the elderly, and wrote the first Yu Di Village Chronicle at 1999. Li Wanlin, 7 1 year-old, is the main organizer of this "Village Records" and a native of Yu Di village.
In Li Wanlin's memory, the old people in the village talked about the origin of Yu Di, and there is another version. "The old people say that our village is high in the middle and low on both sides, so most farmers build their homes on the silt embankment scattered by the ancient Taiping River. The shape of the silt embankment above the horizontal platform is like a big fish with its head west and tail east. The villagers also called it' fish dike', and later it was homophonic as' on the dike' and' on the bottom'. "
It is well documented that on several stone tablets of Pilu Temple in Shangjing Village, the inscription of Ming Dynasty used both "Jade Emperor" and "Jade Emperor", while in the inscription of Qing Dynasty and later, only the name "Jade Emperor" was used.
Opinions vary, but they are all related to the siltation of the village. Nowadays, walking in the village, the neat streets, spacious buildings and wide roads in the south of the village have deeply covered the fish-shaped silt dike, but stories about Yu Di Village can be seen everywhere. It is worth mentioning that Yu Di and Luancheng County are "inferior villages".
Bian Fuchun, an 82-year-old party member, said that there was a small village called Nanzhuang in the south of Di Village, where several families, such as Yang and Lou, lived. A flood in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty flooded this small village, and the surviving Yang family and Lou family abandoned their homes and moved to the west of Luancheng County to make a living. Every year after the autumn harvest, I go home to repair my old house in order to return to my hometown, but after a few years, I have formed a deep affection with the local people and established a new home there. With the prosperity of the family, it is also called Yu Di Village. Later generations called it Diqian Street or "less than the bottom".
Due to the origin of the two, these two villages still have endless affection for hundreds of years. "Until today, Yu Di's troupe and Dragon Lantern have performed many times in Yu Di; The flower show that is less than the ground floor is also performed during the temple fair on the second day of the second lunar month every year. The villagers in the two places warmly receive each other. " Chen, secretary of the Party Committee of Yu Di Village, said that for this reason, there is a poem circulating in their village: "The height of a tree never forgets its roots, and the stone lies at the bottom of the flesh and blood. Fireworks and dragon lanterns complement each other and move forward with one heart and one mind. "
■ Growth: Market Commercial Street is a thousand-year-old town.
Any village called "Town" is related to its market, and Yu Di is no exception. According to the Records of Huolu County in Jiajing edition of Ming Dynasty, as early as the middle of Ming Dynasty, Huolu County in Yu Di was one of the eight major market towns.
"When I was young, I always liked to go to the market with adults. At the end of the program on March 8 every year, these booths are arranged in six rows and distributed on this two-mile street. Yong 'an Qiaodong and Sanfangmiao Theater are wide squares with specialized markets for cotton cloth, grain and oil, livestock, pigs and poultry, dried and fresh fruits, flowers and trees furniture, etc. Li Yingtai, a 75-year-old villager from Yu Di, said that at that time, people from all directions flocked and pedestrians pushed each other. The hawker's cries and the noise of market participants merged into one, which was very lively.
Li Yingtai, a former village party secretary, said that the fair coincided with the temple fair, which was quite lively, and there was a night market after the Lantern Festival in the evening. In his memory, Yu Di's business is not only prosperous on the market day, but also on weekdays, there is an endless stream of pedestrians and vehicles on the street, shops are open as usual, and vendors pushing wheelbarrows are hawking in the street, which is a prosperous scene.
The old brands that flourish at the bottom can be said to be all over the street. The most representative are the pharmacies and pastry shops of Liansheng. There used to be a saying that "the cakes with serial numbers are famous in Zhili". Lianshenghao pastry shop and drugstore were founded in Ming Dynasty. Lianshenghao drugstore is earlier than Beijing Tongrentang and can be compared with Beijing Xihe Niantang. For hundreds of years, Chinese medicine practitioners sitting here have also had medical and pharmaceutical exchanges with Beijing Xihe Niantang and Tongrentang. Unfortunately, Liansheng closed down in the early days of liberation.
Now, from the east entrance of Yu Di Village, it faces the former Market Street, which is still the market in Yu Di. Walking on the street of Dicun Market, looking at the shops on both sides of the street and the pedestrians coming and going on the street, you can feel the once prosperous here.
Chen, secretary of the village party branch, said that regarding the appearance of the ancient town, our ancestors formulated strict village rules and regulations, which were recorded on a stone tablet in the temple. The main contents are as follows: the yards of people facing the street must be tiled, and the houses facing the street must be equipped with shop facades, and spacious buildings should be built and painted beautifully. The facade and gate should be paved with stones, and locust trees should be planted on both sides of the road.
For thousands of years, people from generation to generation have strictly observed these village rules and regulations until the early liberation. Thus, a 15-meter-wide thoroughfare for chariots and horses was formed. In front of the shop is a sidewalk more than two meters wide, lined with neat stones, and on both sides of the road are two rows of stout locust trees. In summer, Sophora japonica is fragrant, covering the sky and swarming with bees and butterflies, which has become a major landscape of the ancient town.
Nowadays, in the construction of new countryside, Yu Di people have gradually moved away from the village rules and regulations that have been observed for thousands of years. In the past, the streets were filled with incense, and tile houses and rows of horses were gradually replaced by neat houses. However, the tradition of commercial street fairs continues to this day.
■ freeze frame: Yong' an ancient bridge watches the changes of villages and towns
Go in from Dongcunkou, go west along Yudicun Street, go straight ahead, and you will see an ancient stone bridge not far away. Due to its age, this weather-beaten bridge is a bit shabby.
"Legend has it that when the monk Lide of Chongsheng Temple saw the separation between the north and the south of Taiping River, he carried incense, walked a village, worshipped a village, passed a shop and worshipped a shop. It is seven or eight hundred miles from the ancient town of Yu Di to Beijing, which touched the queen of the dynasty and gave him one hundred and twenty pieces of silver to repay Lide's long-cherished wish to build a bridge. " The 82-year-old Bian Fuchun said that according to the old people in Di Village, the Taiping River once crossed the village. Every summer, floods are raging, the north and the south are isolated, and silt is alluvial, which often floods village fields. In order to tame the Taiping River and prevent flooding, this bridge was named Yong 'an Bridge.
During the Republic of China, the Records of Huolu County was rebuilt, which recorded that "Yong 'an Bridge is located in Yu Di Village, fifteen miles east of the county". According to research, Yong 'an Bridge was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1573- 16 19), with a history of more than 400 years.
Approaching Yong 'an Bridge, you will find that the whole stone bridge is unique in design, beautiful in shape and distinctive in characteristics. The bridge is a single-hole bucket arch bridge, all made of bluestone strips. The bridge deck is 20m long, 4.5m wide, with arch length 1 1m and depth of 9m. The diameter of the stone coupon hole is about11m. There are eight stone pillars on the east and west sides of the bridge deck, and there are stone lions, peaches and other things on the stigma; There are fences between the stone pillars, with seven fences on each side. The fence is embossed with various figures, legends, stories or flower patterns. At the top of the bridge opening, there is a lion's embossed head embedded in the east and west. Although it has experienced wind and rain, it is still magnificent and lifelike.
The Taiping River, which flows through Yong 'an Bridge, has already dried up. The former river course has become a flat cement road, and cars and pedestrians pass through it from time to time. "Yong 'an Bridge has lost its original function, but as the crystallization of the hard work and wisdom of our working people, it still has its artistic value. "The staff of Shijiazhuang Cultural Relics Department said that the bridge has been listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in Shijiazhuang.
■ Development: A New Highlight of Residents' Leisure in Northwest China
Go west from Heping Road and north to Botanical Garden Road. On the east side of the road are rows of neat buildings, which are the residential areas of Yu Di Village.
Before liberation, Yu Di Village was famous for its long history and culture, unique town features, prosperous commerce and trade and numerous cultural relics. In recent years, the construction and opening of Botanical Garden Road has once again brought unprecedented opportunities to this ancient village. At present, the village is planning to carry out the construction project of "one street in ancient town". This will undoubtedly add new bright colors to the prosperity and revival of the commercial ancient town of Yu Di Village.
"Yu Di Village is located around Botanical Garden Road, and convenient transportation has brought opportunities to this village. But how to rely on the existing environment for development and transformation has become our most concerned issue. " Chen, secretary of the village party branch, said.
The person in charge of Xinhua District said that there are botanical gardens, South-to-North Water Transfer Project and Northwest Water Conservancy and Flood Control Ecological Project in the northwest of the provincial capital. Xinhua District has made a detailed demonstration on the location, environment, transportation and ecology of this area, and invited well-known experts in provincial and municipal planning, design, water conservancy and culture to participate in the discussion, and formulated the overall development strategy of this area, namely "One Road", "One Street" and "Three Districts". "One Street" refers to the commercial pedestrian street in Digu Town.
"The ancient town of Yu Di has a history of thousands of years, and ancient buildings can be seen everywhere, including the stone bridge in the Han Dynasty and the Xuyun Temple, an important Buddhist activity place in our province." The person in charge said that the planning and construction of the commercial pedestrian street in the ancient town of Yu Di will kick off the revival of the commercial prosperity of this Millennium ancient town.
According to the planning of Yu Di Village, the commercial street construction will give full play to the historical and cultural advantages of the Millennium ancient town, restore the historical features of the ancient commercial street, and enhance the commercial and cultural taste formed in the Millennium. Chen said that according to the plan, commercial buildings with three, four and five floors of antique buildings will be built on both sides of the street, mainly in Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as local snacks, antique calligraphy and painting, handicrafts, theaters, teahouses and shopping places. A unique cultural, leisure and tourist area will be built.
With the gradual implementation of this plan, in the near future, Yu Di, a thousand-year-old town, will reproduce the prosperity of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the provincial capital will also add a good place for tourism, leisure and sightseeing.
