Zaoyang is a typical north-south region in China, with the urban area as the center. The people in the northern part of the city, that is, Zaobei, live on pasta, and this area belongs to Nanxiang Basin, with a language close to Henan dialect, while the people in the southern part of the city live on rice. This dialect is quite different from Zaobei dialect, which is close to the southern language family represented by southern Wuhan.
