Songpan Grassland is located in the north of Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is a mountain plain between Xiqingshan, Minshan and Bayan Kara. Mengbi Mountain, 30 kilometers away from Marcand County, is located at the junction of the southern part of Zhuokeji Township and Xiaojin County, with an east-west trend and a gentle mountain. The lowest mountain pass is 3900 meters above sea level and the highest mountain peak is 4470 meters above sea level.

Mengbi Mountain Pass is the only passage from the county seat to Xiaojin County, and it is also the second big snow mountain that the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants crossed during the Long March on June 27th. 1935.
