The history of Dayouzhuang
When Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty lived in the Summer Palace, he visited the garden privately one day and saw the village outside the wall of the imperial garden, which was close to the "eight poor families". He thought it was unlucky, so he ordered people to change his village into a "big village", which meant a bumper harvest and people looked forward to prosperity.

During the Qianlong period, some people in the village did chores in Qingyi Garden (now the Summer Palace). There were eight shops in the village, among which wine, meat and oil cakes were the most famous.

My grandmother said: In the Qing Dynasty, our family also had a small business in Dayouzhuang Village, which was ridiculous to say, that is, making and selling braided ropes (not red-headed ropes tied by little girls, but braided ropes on the heads of big men in the Qing Dynasty). Small businesses can't compare with those big ones.

It is said that Cixi decorated the Summer Palace with lanterns and decorations on her 60th birthday. After being paid homage by Emperor Guangxu and officials, Cixi visited Suzhou Street in the north of Wanshou Mountain in the Summer Palace, and was attracted by the unique skill of "Fried Cake Plum" (real name Zhenfeng Li) in Dayouzhuang outside the garden.

His fried cake is thin and thick, crisp outside and tender inside, sweet and delicious, and Lafayette is very satisfied after tasting it. Since then, he has asked for a plate of fried cakes and plums every day. As a result, Jingxi's reputation as "Fried Cake Plum" spread all over the world.

This village really has two big slopes. I was weird when I was a kid.
