In the iOS10 update, the control center is also a place where changes are very obvious. For example, it has added two new control pages, which are specially designed for music playback control and smart home accessories.
As shown in the picture, when you bring up the control center, you can feel its changes at first glance: all the music playback control buttons are gone, but as long as you swipe left, you can see Apple has specially designed pages for these control keys in the Control Center. On the first screen of the control center, the first column is still the familiar buttons: airplane mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DoNotDisturb and rotation lock. The second column is also the screen brightness slider.
The AirPlay button has been renamed "AirPlay Screen" in the new control center. By clicking this button, users can mirror their iPhone or iPad screen to Apple TV. Audio AirPlay control is completely separated and moved to the new music control center screen.
After canceling the design of music control buttons on the first screen of the Control Center, there is more space. Apple allows the NightShift button to occupy the fourth column exclusively, making it more convenient for users to control. The last column contains only the flashlight, timer, calculator and camera buttons. These buttons all support users to call up more control options through 3D Touch gestures.
Here we would like to remind all users that if you "delete" the pre-installed calculator application on iOS, the calculator shortcut keys in the control center will also disappear, and the last column will only be Next three buttons, but the user cannot edit this column to add other control buttons.
Swipe left in the control center to enter the music playback control center. The first column here displays the album cover, song title, and artist name; the second column is the song playback progress bar; and the third column is the playback control buttons. , that is, rewind, pause/play, and forward; the fourth column is the volume control slider; the bottom is the expanded menu of Air Play. Users can choose to play songs through external devices such as Apple TV, Air Play, or Bluetooth speakers, or connect to Bluetooth Headphones play.
On the basis of the music playback control center, swipe left to enter the new HomeKit control center. Under the default settings, all HomeKit accessories registered and connected through the user's iCloud account will appear here.
There are two views in the HomeKit control center. The default is "Favorite Accessories". There is also a "Scenes" button in the upper right corner to bring up another view and other operation options.
Similarly, Apple supports users to use 3D Touch gestures for HomeKit accessories. For example, pressing hard on the smart light bulb icon can bring up the brightness control bar and the link to adjust the color.
iOS10 will also remember where the user last operated in the Control Center. If the user's last operation was completed in the HomeKit Control Center, when the user calls up the Control Center again, the HomeKit Control Center will be displayed on the page.
