This is a heavily improved 380hp 1994'Nissan 180SX.
On its first day of launch, its owner, Carlton Moody, was driving the car with friends when he shifted into third gear and locked the rear of the car, leaving him in traffic. It spun around and skidded to a stop just inches from the metal guardrail. Luckily no one was hurt, and once the smoke cleared, DJ decided that maybe he did need to make some adjustments to the car.
Carlton Moody, better known by his stage name DJ Manifesto, is a DJ who is good at playing the violin and pays great attention to details. He has been living in Japan and modifying this S13 from start to finish. The original plan for this car was just a simple modification, nothing special. However, one incident after another caused the plan to change.
Manifesto drew inspiration from local nightlife and car culture and using only JDM parts, the RU body kit satisfies his nostalgia for the '90s.
The SR20DET Black Top is built for performance, with an aggressive Tomei cam and custom manifold and exhaust producing 350 to 380 horsepower.
As for the style of S13, it’s all about neon lights and nightlife. The body is a sexy cherry deep burgundy color and the wheels are SSR?Koenig. Like his music, this car is art.
The chassis and suspension are reinforced as much as possible. All bushings have been replaced with polyurethane counterparts, and DMAX bends ensure that the car can be driven on roads without speed bumps.
When Declaration made the final modifications to his S13, he had already planned to return to the United States and had less than a year to complete the entire modification project. DJ Manifesto managed to create something special and now it lives in the desert of Las Vegas. "With my quirky personality, I really just want the car to be built my way," Manifesto concluded. He certainly did, and you certainly won’t find a JDM S13 as fun and unique as the Manifesto 180 in Nevada.
