1. Vocal singing
▲Preliminary professional examination
●Bel canto singing
Four songs of your own choice: two Chinese songs (can be Folk songs or songs composed since the May 4th Movement), two foreign songs (can be art songs, opera arias or oratorios). Candidates can sing two of the songs of their own choice.
●Folk Voice Singing
Four self-selected Chinese songs: folk songs, Chinese opera selections, operas or adapted opera excerpts, at least one from each of the three categories. Candidates can sing two of the songs of their own choice.
★ The results of the preliminary examination will not be included in the total score. Only when the score reaches 60 points can you enter the re-examination.
▲Professional re-examination
(1) Candidates sing two other songs of their own choice (i.e. the repertoire must not be the same as the repertoire for the preliminary examination).
(2) Music Theory (exam time: 90 minutes)
For detailed examination requirements, please refer to the "Music Theory" exam syllabus.
(3) Sight-singing and ear training (ear training is tested in the form of a written listening test)
For detailed examination requirements, please refer to the "Sight-singing and Ear Training" exam syllabus.
Note:
(1) All songs must be sung in the original text.
(2) The aria must be sung in its original key.
(3) Popular songs are not allowed.
(4) You are not allowed to bring your own accompanist or accompaniment tape. If you need accompaniment, please provide piano accompaniment score (staff) and sing according to the original key of the score.
■Score ratio and the principle of demarcating the passing line
(1) Preliminary test score (100 points) = Preliminary singing test score;
Professional school examination results (Full score is 100 points) = re-examination singing score.
(2) Music theory and sight-singing and ear-training are regarded as passing examinations, and the results will not be included in the total score. The passing lines for the two subjects are independently determined based on music performance (vocal singing), and in principle each is 60 points. If the number of candidates with a score of 60 in the major (direction) is less than 80% of the number of people taking the re-examination of the major (direction), the passing score line will be lowered until the number of qualified candidates reaches 80% of the number of people taking the re-examination of the major (direction).
(3) Principle for delineating the passing line for professional school examinations: delineate according to a ratio of no higher than 1:4 in the enrollment plan for Bel Canto and Folk Voice.
