the college has four first-class disciplines, including music and dance, art theory, drama and film and television, and design, all of which are listed as provincial first-class discipline construction plans except design, among which music and dance are Class A plans. It has the right to grant master's degree in music and dance and the authorization point of master's degree in art. There are 8 majors in composition and composition technology theory, musicology, music performance, dance science, dance performance, dance choreography, performance, art and technology. Set up 12 teaching departments (departments) including composition and command department, music department, music education department, piano department, vocal opera department, Chinese music department, orchestral department, pop music department, dance department, drama department, music engineering department, public basic teaching department (Marxist College) and affiliated music schools, continuing education colleges, entrepreneurship colleges, international education colleges (to be established). High-level art groups such as symphony orchestra, Chinese orchestra, eight-second choir and song and dance troupe have been established. He founded the journal Music Culture Research. Signed inter-school cooperation agreements with many internationally renowned music schools, such as Austrian Mozart Conservatory, royal academy of music, Royal Northern Conservatory of Music, Liszt University of Music, University of Nottingham, etc., and initiated the establishment of "China-Central and Eastern European Countries Music School Alliance" with 15 music schools in Central and Eastern Europe to carry out international cooperation and exchanges. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it has the qualification of independent enrollment of art majors in independent undergraduate art colleges, and enrolls students for the whole country. Approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, it has become a postgraduate training unit for master of arts. There are 2,832 students at present, including 2,598 undergraduates (including 5 students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and 3 international students), 234 graduate students and 466 students from affiliated music schools. There are 482 faculty members, including 333 full-time teachers (including 48 full-time titles and 8 foreign teachers).
