Alibaba Music was officially established on March 16, 2015, by the merger of Xiami Music and Tiantian Dongting, two music service applications under Alibaba Group. According to Bida Consulting's 2014 annual survey data, among the market shares of China's digital music platforms, Tiantian Dongting accounted for 17.3% and Xiami Music accounted for 4.6%. After the merger, the cumulative market share of the two reached 21.9%. Alibaba Music has successfully become the largest digital music platform in China. No. 1 in the industry.

After the merger, Alibaba Music will maintain the differentiated route of its original products horizontally, and vertically will focus on exclusive music copyrights, Alibaba musician discovery and training, cross-border marketing of entertainment data, artist management, etc. We will continue to exert our efforts in this direction, and at the same time integrate Alibaba’s e-commerce blood to create a new ecological environment for the digital entertainment industry.
