- an ensemble of pictures, text and music in picture book stories

Famous Japanese picture book master Matsui Nao said: "Picture books are suitable for people aged 0-99 to read." Therefore, picture book reading can not only be positioned as children's books, but also the habitat and refuge of the human soul.

The Japanese picture book master Kunio Yanagida lost his son in middle age. He gained the comfort of life experience in the process of encountering picture books, and then led adults to approach picture books and draw strength from picture books. The harvest is touching. He said: A person has three opportunities to read picture books in his life. The first time is when he is a child; the second time is when he becomes a parent and raises his children; and the third time is halfway through his life, when he faces aging, disease, time of death. Every time you read, you can read a lot of new and profound meanings in picture books.

Lao Tzu said: Difficult things in the world must be done with ease; great things in the world must be done with detail. Whether a picture book is profound or not is also reflected in the illustrations of the picture book story. Among classic picture books, every corner of the picture book tells a story, and the development and profound connotation of the story are often hidden in the details of the pictures.

When adults read picture books to children, they often look at them from an adult perspective. They often focus on the text in the picture books first and let the children look at the illustrations in the picture books themselves. The child has finished reading. This is not actually reading, and it is difficult for children to have a deep understanding of the text.

When reading picture books to children, it is not only necessary to read the text, but also to incorporate the silent language of pictures into the story telling. While listening to the story with their ears, children can deeply understand the plot of the story and gain a comprehensive and rich emotional experience through the integration of text, pictures, and music with their cognitive experience and past experience.

In the process of reading picture books to children, you must also become a child yourself. All adults were once children. Only by turning yourself into a child and looking at the world from an equal perspective can you truly understand and discover your child. Only by truly integrating yourself can you reproduce the story of the picture book more accurately, profoundly and comprehensively, and create a second creation of the picture book in detail. One's own life experiences and experiences are the only starting point for one's creation and secondary creation.

The simple language and quiet images in the picture book "The Turtle" reveal a simple breath of life. In particular, the depiction of details in the pictures reflects delicate emotions and profound insights and thinking about life. Reading "The Turtle" is like letting your mind embark on the road home. All the noise and fatigue have been put down. Only the visual impact of the storyline and pictures can talk to the soul, making people want to start life with enthusiasm. In the new era, people can be quiet, thinking, and peacefully integrated into the moment of the story. They can't extricate themselves from the aftertaste for a long time, thinking about the infinity of life in the limited time.

In "The Turtle", the sarcastic Spider Fafa uses what she thinks is her cleverness to persuade Tao Tao to give up, and uses what she thinks is her advantageous conditions to compare with Tao Tao's slowness. The entire page is a close-up of a spider spinning its web, which further demonstrates the spider's arrogance. But Tao Tao's heart did not waver, and she continued to move forward firmly. She listened to her inner call, followed her inner rhythm of life, overcame various obstacles, passed through woods and sand, and kept on traveling day and night.

This reminds me of our daily family education. Parents always educate their children in the way they think they do, without seeing the real children and their true abilities. Education should accept each child’s truest self, and should allow children to maintain their own inner growth rhythm. Children should grow up according to their wishes, not according to their parents’ wishes. We tend to pay too much attention to the superficial details of children's lives, often neglecting to experience the meaning and origin of life with our children, and lack of thinking about life propositions.

When Tao Tao met Master Snail, he followed Snail’s advice and changed his direction. It shows that Tao Tao can still distinguish whose words should be listened to and whose words should not be listened to. From the moment the snail appears on the scene, the color of the picture is different from that of the spider. Tao Tao said: It doesn't matter, at least I know now. Tell me, which way should I go? It can be seen that Taotao has not changed his dream because of his past mistakes.

If it weren’t for listening to today’s video micro-lecture, I would not have read a lot of knowledge about world geography in the picture book. It shows that everyone has their own cognitive limitations. This is cognitive nature, and it is also necessary for us to establish a lifelong growth mindset.

Each of our characters’ appearances uses music with different rhythms and different playing styles, which complements the characters in the story and the connotation they want to express.

The description with details such as crying and tearful eyes shows the sincerity of Snail. Snail could not understand Taotao's ultimate goal. He was always entangled in the disappointment of not being able to keep the appointment, unable to extricate himself, and lost the opportunity to surpass himself. Isn't it like this in life? Once anything is calculated, it will be lost, losing the experience, struggle, and hard work of immersing in it. Success is not the result, experience is the added value of success.

When Tao was on his way, he used the entire page to reproduce the rain. It symbolizes all the hardships and difficulties he faced on the road to pursuing his dreams. But Tao Tao is not afraid at all, and is mentally prepared to face all hardships for future life experiences.

In this noisy and impetuous utilitarian society, where everything is oriented toward practicality, it is not easy to have a flow experience triggered by picture books. I have to admire the author's originality, which enables readers to wake up from the multiple experiences of life in the silent language of detailed description. With pictures and texts interspersed with music, all the overtures finally merge into a magnificent movement.

It is usually difficult to persuade or educate children in a reasonable way. If you use explanation, indoctrination, and repetition, education will lose its original vitality. So let’s start with storytelling. Narrate it carefully and easily, allowing children to understand and build a pyramid of life cognition without realizing it. Open a door to picture book reading and start a journey of love. What needs to be expressed is all in the story: in the pictures, in the words, in the flowing music, and in your and my life experience and insights.

While reading "The Turtle", I was constantly reminded of the picture books of Australian national treasure picture book master Grahame Bass and British picture book master Anthony Brown, both of whom are particularly good at telling stories with pictures and details. It is difficult to portray without in-depth study of the work.

Gomi Taro said: "A person never knows when and where he will encounter what kind of book. It is precisely because of this uncertainty and adventure that books have life and value. Read by readers At this time, the book and the reader have both life and vitality at the same time
