Also known as "medium spotted" and "bead-necked pigeon". It belongs to the order Columbiformes and the family Doveidae. Mainly distributed in the eastern provinces of my country and throughout Yunnan. It is a common resident and caged bird in Taiwan and coastal provinces.

Habitat: plains and sparse forests at the foothills.

Predation: Picking up food on the ground with its mouth.

Food: Crop seeds and weed seeds, a small amount of insects.

Shape: Total length 32 cm. Weight 125~180 grams. Both sexes are the same color, with mostly gray-brown body feathers. The most striking feature is a black feather band with white spots on the neck. The tail feathers are black, with a pair of black central ones and obvious white spots on the outer edges. The mouth is dark brown and the legs are purple-red.

Habits: Common resident bird. Likes to be active near villages and farmland. Breeds from May to July. Use small branches to build a very simple platform nest on a tree branch. 2 eggs are laid per clutch. After the young birds hatch, the parent bird's crop can digest food into chyme and secrete some special ingredients to form "pigeon milk", which is used to feed the young birds. The Pearl-necked Turtle Dove has a variety of calls, which are often repeated "coo-coo, coo-coo-", continuous and low. It chirps especially frequently when it clears up after a long period of rain and when it begins to clear up after a long period of clear rain. It likes to live in open areas and sparse woods. It often flies to the ground or dry fields to forage. It is shy by nature. Except for foraging at dawn and dusk, it usually lives in the woods. Breeding, feeding and management are the same as those of other doves and pigeons
