SAT/ACT

The University of Georgia requires SAT/ACT + writing test scores, it is recommended to submit SAT II test scores, but not an absolute requirement. The school has set minimum score requirements, as follows:

SAT reading is no less than 430 points, SAT mathematics is no less than 400 points; ACT English and mathematics are no less than 17 points.

The average SAT and ACT scores for admitted undergraduate freshmen are as follows:

The average SAT reading score: 570-660, the average math score: 580-670, the average writing score: 560-660 ;

ACT overall average score: 26-30.

Note: The University of Georgia does not require SAT II scores, but some SAT subject test scores can be used as university credits. Such as SAT mathematics, physics, chemistry and French, Spanish, German and other subjects. The score requirements for mathematics, physics and chemistry subjects are usually above 620 points, and French, German and other subjects are usually above 540 points. Note: SAT Chinese Subject Test scores cannot be used as credits.

AP/IB

The University of Georgia accepts international courses, such as AP/IB courses, as credits. The credit standards for the above courses are roughly as follows: (For specific credit standards, please check the external link)

AP courses: obtain 3 points, 4 points or 5 points;

IB courses: high level Both high-level and standard-level courses can be used for credits. High-level courses must have a score of 4-7 or more, and standard-level courses must have a score of 5-7 or more to be able to receive credits;

A-Level courses: whether credits can be used Unknown, the specific criteria for credit redemption are not clear yet.

Application materials

Apply for the University of Georgia undergraduate program through the school’s official website. You do not need to specify a major when applying. The required application materials are as follows:

Official high school transcripts (Transcripts): preferably notarized and submitted by certification agencies such as WES and ECE;

University of Georgia undergraduate transfer requirements

Note:

(1) University of Georgia undergraduate transfer requirements TOEFL/IELTS test scores . The total score of TOEFL is not less than 80 points, and the total score of IELTS is not less than 6.5 points. There are no individual score requirements for both. If the applicant has a SAT reading score of 430 or above, or an ACT English score of 17 or above, or has taken a first-year English writing course in an American institution with a score of 2.5 or above, or has a bachelor's degree from an American university, there is no need to submit language scores.

(2) The University of Georgia undergraduate program accepts transfer applications for the fall, spring and summer semesters, and the deadlines are March 1, August 15 and March 1 respectively

The University of Georgia requires transfer applicants to have completed at least 30 credits at the original school. If the applicant has completed 30-59 credits, the GPA is required to be above 2.8. If the applicant has completed 60 credits, the GPA is required to be above 3.2

(4) The University of Georgia admitted 1,40 transfer students in the fall and summer semesters of 2014, and the average GPA of admitted students was 3.42; the average GPA of transfer students admitted in the fall of 2015 was 3.46, with an average score of 25%-75% The range is 3.25-3.73

The University of Georgia undergraduate program accepts international students to transfer in the fall, spring and summer semesters. Applicants are required to have completed 30 credits at the original school and have a GPA of 3.2 or above before they can apply for transfer. If the applicant is a junior or senior, has completed 60 or more credits, and has a GPA above 2.8, he or she can apply for undergraduate majors at the Tifton and Griffin campuses of the University of Georgia. The University of Georgia offers a small number of Merit-based scholarships to international students, which do not require a separate application, but are generally awarded to senior students.

University of Georgia graduate school application conditions

Basic requirements

The basic application conditions stipulated by the University of Georgia Graduate School (Graduate School) are as follows:

Graduation from a regular university with a bachelor's degree

GPA requirements: no less than 3.0 points

Language requirements: TOEFL requirements no less than 80 points, no individual score less than 20 points; IETS requirements No less than 6.5 points, no individual score less than 6.0

GRE requirements: Except for art MFA majors, music MM and DMA majors, and Master of Laws (LLM) majors, all other programs need to submit GRE /GAMT scores; some science programs also require GRE Subject scores

Application time

The application deadlines set by the University of Georgia Graduate School are as follows:

Fall semester: April 15th; students who want to apply for scholarships provided by the Graduate School need to submit their applications before January 1st; students who want to apply for scholarships provided by the department need to contact the department, the specific deadline is unknown
