Album introduction:
The Sound of Music was originally a musical on Broadway as a reserved program, and it has been grand since its premiere in 1959. The play is based on a true story: a nun in Austria worked as a governess in a rich family during the Nazi period. Because they didn't like what the Nazis did, they fled to the United States and formed the "trapp Family Choir", which toured all over the country, and their deeds were very touching. These real-life events were transplanted into the film. The music was designed and composed by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein, who made great changes to the original play and added many new songs. The right to shoot the film was purchased by TwentiethCentury-Fox Company in 196 for US$ 1 million. However, due to the contract, we had to wait until the original play finished on Broadway.
composition is an important factor in the success of a musical film. Wise's musical "west side story" won the first prize in one fell swoop, in which the music and songs were full of American vitality. Many songs, such as "Maria" and "See you at night", spread in the streets after being released. The same is true of the film The Sound of Music. Anyone who has seen this film is immersed in beautiful music. The composition of The Sound of Music is written by Richard Rogers, an American composer. He has written more than 1, songs and more than a dozen operas, and he is especially good at seeking an amazing harmony in the complex rhythm. The melody is natural, smooth and concise, but the conciseness shows a high degree of skill. The composition in The Sound of Music is the masterpiece of his creative style.
The Sound of Music was shot with Todd-Ao widescreen system, and it was three hours long. In the 1965 Oscar election, The Sound of Music was nominated for ten items. People thought that this film had set a new record in the box office of American movies since it was released in May 1965, and the competition for the Academy Awards would be unimpeded. Interestingly, when nominated in February of that year, Wise's The Sound of Music met a strong rival-doctor zhivago of Britain, and both films were nominated for eight Academy Awards. After fierce competition, although both films won five Academy Awards, in contrast, Wise's "The Sound of Music" still topped the list, and as a result, it won five awards: Best Film, Jingjia Director, Best Sound, Best Editing and Best Composition.
As a first-class music blockbuster, it made a net profit of $2 million in the first ten months of its release in North America, and by the end of the second year, its box office revenue had exceeded $42.5 million, second only to Gone with the Wind. Up to now, The Sound of Music is still one of the top ten films with the highest box office. Julie Andrews' powerful performance added great luster to the film.

Maria works as an intern nun in a strict monastery in Salzburg. She loves the majestic Alps and often goes hiking in the mountains and forgets the mission of the monastery. The abbot of the monastery was very wise, thinking that Maria might be more suitable for the outside life, so he decided to send her to trapp's house as a governess for seven children. After arriving in trapp, Maria was surprised that the Baron disciplined his children according to strict military regulations. Baron is a noble widower and a naval colonel. After learning that the children had driven away many former tutors, she treated them in different ways. Instead of educating them, we brought music into their lives, taught them how to sing, dance and play hip-hop, and won the love of children. The children's puppet show for their father is the first step in the germination of love between Maria and the Baron. Only a few days later, the baron introduced Baroness Schroeder to the children as his fiancee. At the ball, Baron and Maria performed folk dances for the audience. When they danced together, they found each other's feelings. Baroness Slade encouraged Maria to leave trapp's house at once. So she returned to the monastery. The children soon found out that Maria was missing, and they tried their best to get her back, while the baron was preparing to marry Baroness Slade. When Maria returned to the monastery, she confided her love for the baron to the host, who encouraged her to be <: Conquer every mountain > . She hurried back to the baron's house and found him preparing for the wedding. The baroness left the baron when she realized the true love between him and Maria. Finally, Maria married the person she loved in the monastery where she wanted to be a nun. Fate strikes. When they came home from their honeymoon, the Nazis occupied Austria. The baron didn't want to serve the Nazi navy, so he looked for an opportunity to escape: the whole family attended the chorus festival held in the Salzburg Festival Theatre. It was here that the Baron sang edelweiss and sang a song for his beloved motherland, and in a few hours they will leave here forever. The trapp family hid in the cemetery of the monastery to avoid the raids, and finally escaped dramatically.
At the end of the film, the Trapps climb the Alps and arrive in Switzerland. Dawn symbolizes the beginning of their new life.
true story
movie <; < The sound of music > > It is based on a true story.
Baron trapp was born in Zara on April 4th, 188, when he was still a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. My father is a naval colonel, and he also wants to devote himself to the naval cause, so he joined the Royal Naval Academy. When he was a young naval colonel, he was appointed as the commander of U6 submarine. During World War I, a French submarine was sunk by trapp's submarine. In 1918, King josef i promoted him to the rank of Navy Major. After the war, Austria lost its coastline and no longer needed a navy. Colonel trapp not only lost his post, but also lost his wife in 1924, leaving him to be cared for by seven children.
Maria was born on 25 January 195. When she was about two years old, her mother died, and her cousin became her adoptive mother. They lived in a small house in the suburbs of Vienna. She received a strict education. After three years of high school, she entered the National Teachers College for four years. Maria used to be a socialist and an atheist, but in college, a famous priest began to teach her and changed her life and beliefs. Maria joined the convent of Nun Shan in Salzburg and became a nun. The monastery decided to let Maria leave for a year and work as a governess at Baron trapp's house to take care of one of his daughters suffering from rheumatic fever.
a year later, the children asked their father to try to keep Maria, and they even suggested that he should marry her. I don't know whether she likes me or not! The baron replied. So the children asked Maria themselves. Because Maria said, yes, I like him. They are engaged. She never returned to the monastery as a nun and married the baron on November 26th, 1927. The Trapps have two new daughters.
In p>1935, Father Wazner came into their lives. He made music a hobby of their family. Their natural and fresh voice and pure singing made them win the first prize in the chorus competition at the Salzburg Music and Drama Festival in 1935. They lost all their money during the Great Depression, and then they were invited to make a concert tour in Europe.
when Hitler invaded Austria in p>1938, trapnin could lose his material property and keep his dignity. They left their villas and all their possessions on the outskirts of Salzburg for America.
in September p>1938, they arrived in new york. On the way, the tenth child was born. Father Wazner also went with them to the United States. Under his guidance, singing became their profession, and the trapp Family Chorus gradually became famous. After World War II, the Trapps set up a music charity organization: trapp Family Austria Relief Agency, which sent countless foods and clothes to Austria.
In p>1941, trapp bought a big farm in a village in fairmont, which was similar to the scenery they missed in Salzburg. They named their house "A Red Heart".
